- In this video I invite you for a ride through a half ghost city: Steelton, PA.
Once beautiful and rich the city was now half in ruins and gave me some flashbacks to the post USSR era.
:)

Hi, everyone!
My name is Vlad and I am a truck driver.
I've been doing this for 8 years and often on the road I come across beautiful places, scenic highways, mesmerizing sunsets or sunrises, rare or unusual weather conditions and other things that make me hold my breath.
For long I've been thinking of a way to share my experiences with other people and now thanks to RUclips that is possible.
I hope you will enjoy driving along with me on some of the most beautiful stretches of roads in the United States.
My videos do not have any teaching purpose so please don't take my driving style as an example, be safe and watch the road.
thats my gold pt off to right before light hahaha
Steelton is on the uptick now the downtown area is beautiful and the steel mills are putting money back into the community
I'm glad things are looking up. we need loads out of Pennsylvania
Spent 22 weeks overseeing a crane modified by Alliance Machine installed by Iron Workers in the Ingot building in '96, visited a lot of mills doing crane inspections for Alliance Machine after a long career building steel mill & press related equipment mainly at E.W. Bliss Co. not much different, Gary, Provo, Wheeling, Midland and many others including Ford.
Vary depressed area I used to work when International Harvester was there on Cameron Street and Paxton street back in the early 70s
19:36 looks like you entered in The Europe.
European architecture
Ys, east coast in general looks more European, because the first establishments were in that area. I like vey much Boston, MA it looks a lot like home. I hope I get to record it one day.
You should asked to someone or employees for loading/unloading location.
Usually in such big plants people don't know anything and don't give a shit if you ask they just send you in a random direction, so you are
usually better off figuring out stuff yourself :)

I've forgot already.
Thank you! I really value your comments and opinions.
Yes Steelton is an old town founded around the steel plant. Most of those building and equipment are from the early 1900’s. I started there in 2007. Just to completely understand why the place looks like it does. Arcelor Mittal which sold all its Steel plants in the US to Cleveland Cliffs just recently was running all of the steel plants into the ground. If you were budgeted pennies for running, equipment, and supplies on your truck to the degree we were your truck would look the same. The “ Chernobyl” building you passed I heard was condemned due to a sinkhole inside. Come on back. Cleveland Cliffs is putting money into the plant. Revitalizing US steel plants and we are happy that they are.
I wish only the best for Steelton and all other cities like it, I've seen just too many like this going slowly into decay. I hope to see it improved next time I have a chance to be there and then I can make another video with a Before and after comparison.
Steelton sucks!!!! I've lived here for the past 22 years, oh and the that was the steelton post office at the light and when you pass the turkey hill on the left if you look to your right that is the popo Station / municipal building For Steelton........... if you would've turned right at the light it would've been faster to get out of that town takes you right to the highways!
Same thing as Gary, IN
Bet it’s creepy at night.
It's creepy during the day, I wouldn't like to find myself around there after dark :)
Nah it’s not
Steelton isn't creepy at all
