- Here's my 1:8 Nitro Car to Brushless Conversion.
I was bored of seeing my car standing still more than driving so I decided to convert it to an 6s Brushless Monster.
THE most time my Nitro Car didn't start because of this or that so no fun at all, and what should I say no it goes incredible fast.
For younger drivers you can put in a 3s or 4s lipo for lower speed I highly recommend this upgrade / conversion
For around 70-80$.

Thanks for the video. I bought a GS Storm more that 15 yrs ago. I upgraded everything to aluminum so the chassis is really strong. I've been thinking about converting it to electric for a long time. The prices of your parts is really reasonable. I didn't see a video of the car running. I really like to "no long commentary" and straight to business.

To be honest Nitro Car is nice but to convert it into brushless was much better really.
That's right I didn't made any driving footage at this time and now I sold it because I have to much rc stuff and it was a weapon on 6s no toy anymore you need space a good place or a track I didn't have anything anymore nearby so that's the reason.
Believe the conversion like you said was more or less cheap and totally swapped that car and worked perfect no doubt about it.

I think 120A is too small for 6s, those cheap combos are always overrated.

The motor pulls 135A so the esc should be too small on 6s.

Hi there i clicked on LIKE because i like how you have a clear camera to show what you are doing. However if you want to change the pinion size do you buy a new chassis or drill new holes? for this reason you must know exactly what you want to achieve and have no option to change ratio. FAIL! worst motor mount ever!!

No that's the gear setup I wanted because of that I took the cheap Motor mount it's enough 😉
I could have taken another to slide the motor but no need in my case.

I have a hobao 7 tq I want to convert...all brand new buying in kitted parts from a NIB break down sale.....almost got all rolling chassis built...just need a motor mount for brushless motor, esc, transmitter n servo....hopefully it'll be a good one....

In my opinion, your set up is incorrect, the gear ratio is very high, and you have chosen a very high KV motor. This car requires 2000KV at most, and 15-18T pinion, that's why you couldn't seat the motor bracket properly. this will fry your ESC....

Maybe you're right and have more experience than me but believe me the thing runs perfect or maybe very very well and with your set up perfect 😉👍🏽 for around the 30th lipo pack and someone told me that theeth pinion gear combo.
The motor bracket is just a try as you can see 😉 for sure with a small pinion it would have fit right in place,I could have used the original one also with adjustable parts but that's not what I wanted to do.

Hi, your setup is focusing on speed, that is stressful on the motor, the ESC, and the battery. but, if you are running it for a long time and your happy, I am happy for you too, and, I have learned something :) cheers

Well it's not that easy you have to search a little bit there're Two different types of gear space in between the Teath once you now wich type than you can search for the right size that fits your motor shaft.

Ich wollte auch eigentlich immer ein Fahrt viel drann hängen wir bei meinem booten leider komme ich zur Zeit wegen arbeit und Familie zu Garnichts und bevor es wieder Wochen dauert wollte ich wenigstens immer den Umbau schon hochladen.

So i have a question im new to this i have a nitro rc but isnt working now so i wanted to converted to an electric motor but my question is do i need to change all the Servos and how do the new servos connect to the original controller

No the only thing you need to change ist the motor and the esc you only need the servo for the steering like before 😉

A - Z tube one more question for the motor to connect to the remote control for the throttle how does that work
You have to put the esc plug and the servo plug into the receiver, the servo is for your steering and the esc controls your throttle from the motor. Your motor is connected with the the esc 😉👌🏽
Also the exceed forza is 1:10 car right?
I think my combo from my video is maybe a bit to big it's more for 1:8 car you can try.....
Or maybe you can try this combo I think it will fit better in your car because it's not that big but it's also not that powerful like my setup, you can use this setup till 4s lipo.
for sure mine from the video is huge and powerful 6s a monster.
