There was nothing wrong with it. Thats why Truth didn't even respond. The issue is that the Dwarf refused to acknowledge that simply seeking knowledge and being free of consequences of existence wasn't his true desire. He already had 7 desires and rather than embrace them while not being dominated by them, he discarded them and made them into his 7 minions all while pretending that this act made him above humans who have to live with their so-called Sins within. He considered himself above humans when he was entirely dependent on humans to get where he was or to even be born. And this unfounded arrogance is what ruined him.
@@Teknanam not to mention, he had the answer himself. He wasn't wrong in his desire. It was the path he took. Despite doing everything he did to reject his humanity, there was but one sin he could not escape. Greed. In order to provide himself a last ditch effort to obtain the power of a God, he reabsorbs greed. Showing that in the end. He was just like everyone else. He too wanted something for himself. He was just as human as they were but was too arrogant to see it.
Everyone has slightly different views on this butTruth tells him - that getting rid of your desires doesn’t make you perfect. And the story supports this most of all with Greed. He gave in to this one thing and you see how he grew. It is not the goal it was how he got there. We see this in Scar as well. And compare this with what the truth and Ed’s final conversation. And notice the door behind the Dwarf/father - it is blank. He learned nothing.
