You forget how good Bowe was 🙏🏻🇮🇪
I really did
best Irish winger
I don’t
Was thinking the exact same thing!
One of the best
The stockdale try gives me shivers everytime
I think the whole nation of Ireland shook when he scored that
Same here @Serious Silly
Same
same
Ya stockdales try was just a peach of a score
Should be titled “a few well finished set plays” The cross kick from O’Gara to Horgan in Croke Park v England MUST be on here
That was a great try, touch of the Gaelic about it.
Horgan try versus England to win the game at the end should be on here too
Title: *of all time*
Also title: 2008-2018
try from 1985 in there aswell
Ya they missed hairy O'Shaughnessy's try from 1982 where ran the length of the field with a fag is his mouth in the last minute of Ireland vs Yugoslavia.
They said it was so cold in Belgrade that day. he had half a bottle of whiskey before the game and finished it off at half time
I'm not gonna lie. Some of the tries in this compilation are run of the mill
Very 👍
Sometimes context matters. Some of these were grand slam decider games
I'm not gonna lie, I enjoy a compilation
Cj standers try is amazing. He gets the ball at least 8 meters out and he has two English players hanging off him and he still makes it and scores. The power is immense
Ye it should be higher on the list
Furlong made the try
And that's why he is player of the year 2022 had a fantastic season 👏
All-time? Ginger McLaughlin carrying the English pack for a try must surely be in there. This was 21st century only, with one exception.
100% He was a bulldozer
or Kevin Flynn Try in 1972 to beat England in the last second at Twickenham
Yeah, that was super. He gets excited everythime you mention it to him! He was such a gent when I met him
To me the try of CJ Stander is really one of the most brillant try (in terms of combinaison) that I have ever seen !
The Stockdale try definitely no 1, not only the planning and execution, but against the best in the world at that time, the CJ Stander try should have been higher, never mind the awesome Furlong pass, opening up the defence, but It was poetry in motion watching CJ drive to the post with half a dozen England players in tow.
Would've loved to see Hamilton's try Vs Australia in the 1991 RWC. :-)
Heaslip's was my favourite. The amount of sublime passes that led to it. Poetry in motion.
Heaslip's try v Italy...or Stockdale's try v New Zealand. Both are things of beauty.
Lot of Ulstermen scoring the best tries. Nice.
That made me smile this morning. Cheers👍
I'm surprised Brian O'Driscoll's pick up and burst through French defence on his debut wasn't there
Bowe was dangerous and quick, very expressed with Conor Murray, Sexton and Ringrose atm
Gordon Hamilton Try vs Australia 1991 and Jamie Heaslip try vs France 2009 should be up there.
Yes Heslips try against France is right up there.! Shane Horgan against England. In the last mins behind on the score board, full length of the pitch and an amazing finish. (Plus O'Gara's conversion from the side line to seal it.!🥳)
Great video
Thank You for sharing! Absolutely brilliant.
This is a shocking video, missed so many, how the fuck did that BOD one against Italy get in hahahah
Legends!
Cant argue with that!
Someone's forgot how good Gibson and Ginger were too.
Great bunch of tries but a few of them weren't quite up to others I can think of. But, not being critical, great video. It's always a matter of opinion what's better..
Where's Denis Hickey? Shane Horgan? Girvan Dempsey? Sean "Brien? - the list is endless.
Besides, all of the tries we've scored against the English deserve a special mention.
Fair doos but we love all irish tries although d ones against England are sweetest 😂😂😂
I'm Irish and I love this vid
Earlsys try against England off the line out last year is now number 1 in my opinion
Number 3. Unreal
I guess that this was 4 years ago some of the recent tries scored vs New Zealand, France, Wales. and Scotland in the past year
Literally shiver stockdale every time
H' on the boys in green
I’d say another one of these is due now. We’ve scored some beauts with Farrell
We miss ye Tommy Bose,!!!
best irish winger of all time
@@MrBiggiefuckinsmalls what a shame his career was plagued with injury
Jamie heaslip v france? The year Ireland wonntje grand slam, what a try, should be here, as should keith wood.
Woods v England was a class try
bowe was such an amazing player i mean come on u have to like if u agree
You don’t have to like to know a fact. But I agree he is amazing player
Any try against England is a winner :)
Title 2008-2018
Yes this is 2008-3:04
Wheres stockdales try against england
Yes
Wat so u mean u creep I don’t like him
Alexjbplayz please god learn how to speak
@@maghnusodomhnaill5518 shut up that’s just slang idiot
@@brabaz3702 English pls
#3 from Heaslip is the only one I think should be nailed on for a top try of all time list the rest were mostly just decent tries off one kick or one good line break. CJ Standers one was very good too.
Was expecting to see Alan Duggan amongst these guys
Stocky deece deffo best try 🤗🤭
I found myself here because they're playing against Springboks this Sunday...
Dude you can’t do a top 10 greatest Irish rugby tries in under 5 minutes!
Got to give it to stockdale for sheer skill but Tommy bowes is a great second .
Lovely selection though
Simon Geoghegan v England at Twickenham? Mike Gibson V England 1974 (with a nod to Tony Ensor), Noel Mannion v Wales in Cardiff, Ken Goodall v Wales 1970, Kevin Flynn v England 1972.... so many heroes
Cree
I was expecting to see great Irish rugby moments and I was looking foward to it..... then when I heard club foot, I thought fuck me this is special
Needs more Simon Geoghegan
BOD my man
No Shane Horgan at all?
I think they were all awesome, but where are all the wonderful toys from before 2008? One from 1985, I think fans my age would disagree that this was representative of the great eras of Irish rugby.
It doesn't say much for Irish rugby that 3 of their greatest trys are against Italy and Romania. Hopefully it a couple of years we might see one that takes them to their first ever WC semi final.
Class vid but it says 2008-2018 but there is a clip from 1985👌 regardless unreal video up the ra
up the uda
2007 also
Watching this made me realize I don't watch enough rugby
This list is pure muck. I can think of at least 5 better tries off the top of my head. Where is the Keith wood try off the lineout?
ruclips.net/video/OqNkFoNYVLU/видео.html eh shag that what about this one!!!
No.5 In 1985 thought it was 2008-2018
How the he'll did anyone think these were the 10 best. Only maybe 3 would make an all time top 20.
A very famous Irish rugby player from yesteryear once said " the first rugby match i ever saw was like watching a porn film, nothing but grunting and groaning and none of it made sense. 🤕
Horgan Croker 07?
Stockdales try against new Zealand was great but it definitely wasn't the best try in this video you just put it as number one because of the occasion. I'd put heaslips try against Italy and maybe standers try against England ahead of it at least
I agree that many incuded here are not of the highest quality and certainly are not the best tries scored by Ireland. Some shown appear to be more of emotional value rather than technical merit (but if that is the criteria how come you missed out Henshaw against the ABs in Chicago?). Of the clips shown, Stockdale v the ABs is good, but mainly for emotional reasons and is allowed eclipse the Bowe try showing similar skills in the chip and chase but which is much lower down the rankings. In fact the two outstanding tries from the clips shown are Trevor Ringlands, featuring extensive passing somewhat more rare in the day, and the No. 3 Heaslip try which drips technical expertise from start to finish, inluding the back door pass from Zebo in the early stages. Of the clips shown, these are really impressive. Considerable omissions besides Henshaw against the ABs, include some tries which other commentatrors have mentioned, Horgan many times against England, besides the O'Gara cross field kick, there was the winner at Twickers, O'Driscoll's pick up against France in 2000. However, as another commmentator mentioned, all are 21st century (besides Ringland). There are many equally wonderful tries from an earlier era, Gibson sored many. Maybe this channel might consider extending its horizons to compile a more repesentative and quality orientated compilation of the top 20 Irish tries.
Yea I think Henshaws try should have been added because that was the moment when we beat the All Blacks I remember watching it on TV seeing that try and screaming my head off knowing it was finally over
In title: Of all time
Also in title: (2008-2018)😂
I like Simon zebo but that try vs Wales shouldn't be on here he was at the fecken corner so he should have scored
If Simon zebos try wasn’t disallowed that would of been on here
Its the pass odriscoll gave him that made the try
That looked like 10 standard All Blacks tries!
Number 3 should have been number 1
100% correct lad
Dempsey
Do Wales
ireland ireland🥔🥔🥔
Noel Mannion!!
Aller l'Irlande !!
Larmour x3
What about this?? ruclips.net/video/DINPoJWOXw4/видео.html
Or some Keith Wood ones.

Back when the Irish team knew how to pass
Did you see this year’s 6N in which Ireland were the top try scorers?
Mannion
Great video but would prefer without the music !
Then turn down the sound . Duh
Poor choices. Gordon Hamilton??
Jamie heaslip try is the best
0:28 *fra v ire
a few forward passes missed.
And we don't play Simon
Dempsey agin england in 2003. Betterc then a load of these.
m.ruclips.net/video/Y_vJBUpDiog/видео.html
That irish 13 shirt will always feel empty without o’driscoll in it
Could say the same about 12 without Gibson, the 5 without O’Connell or number 4 without Willie John McBride.
@@patrickmccutcheon9361 stop lads, we'll end up with 15 empty shirts. All shirts are passed on the their rightful successors.
Heaslip
Best tries of all time? Please! Why not just say some of best tries from 2008-2018.
That music makes this unwatchable!
Mute it and yourself.
All time? The recency bias is a bit strong. Bod biffing Italians over any of the 2000 Paris hat-trick? Horgan against England in 2007? Before my time there was this Simon Geoghan bloke, he was meant to be all right. And before him was some guy called Jack Kyle, but his stiff’s not in hd so I guess it never happened.
Selecting ten from all time is tricky. Selecting from a decade is hard as would be selecting from just one player be it BOD, Earls or Bowe. That said a top 10 have included a Mike Gibson try in there. I remember one try he scored in Cardiff in ‘69 or ‘71 against what was the greatest ever Welsh team. First phase move off a scrum he cut through the Welsh defence. Keith Earls try against England in 2021 was also something. Heaslip’s try against Italy is notable for the outrageous off-load by Zebo. What a shame Joe Schmidt did not really want him in his set up.
Nice video why go to the trouble to spoil it with that awful music.
Do we really count tries scored against Italy , Romania etc? My granny could score against shite like that.
Great video except for the shite music.
Great tries totally crap music
No.1 Worst Music Tries of All Time.
Rubbish compilation. Bowes pick and run try against Wales no.2? Lol, Where's the rugby in that 🤷♂️
I've seen better tries from Ireland and I don't even watch Ireland games, probably comes down to personal preference
Ehhhhh Keith Wood Shane Horgan?????? I'm in shock STOP WASTING MY TIME
This is a poor selection, have been so many better than at least 6-7 of these.
