This is the performance trim level of the new Tucson, with lots of aggressive styling inside and out, even though it has the same power as the regular version. But even with all that, is it better than the Toyota RAV4 XSE?? Have they made it drive and perform as well as the class-leaders?? The first U.S. review I've seen of the N-Line. Love it.
The N line should of been a 2.5L turbo and given the same Bells and whistles as the limited.
Fucking fax
The N-Line is never a higher trim than the Limited though, Limited always means best and N-line always means at least a little cheaper than the Limited. The N-line should have been based on the plugin-hybrid, which has the most horsepower, rather than the naturally aspirated engine which is actually the slowest trim.
Agreed
Yep car manufacturers are always so out of touch with the trims
Needs the oomph.
I was really excited to get this N Line trim because of the insane design, only to find out that the "sporty" version was just about the aesthetics
A Tucson Hybrid Blue would run circles around this all day.
That's usually what about "Line" is. Just aesthetics.
@@BoopSnoot silly boy
Omg I’ve been wanted to see this!! It’s so gorgeous! I love the wheels and painted flares!
I’m glad Hyundai didn’t cheap out
Good catch on the flares. I can name quite a few "luxury" brands that do not paint the flares except on their very top performance models that cost $60-$80k.
@@hellkitty1014 yes!!!
loved the review buddies.
I was expecting this to have at least the upgraded (201hp) engine. After all that's what's going on in the Elantra. Whatever the case may be, there needs to be more consistency throughout the lineup with the use of N vs N-Line. Sometimes it's cosmetic, other times it's not. Personally, I'd prefer the Tuscon in full N vs the upcoming Kona N. At least Hyundai listened and is bringing the Elantra N as much as I would have preferred the 5-door.
100% agree. I mean at least put the Elantra N engine 2.0 turbo in this. With the weight from the Tucson it should still perform fairly decent as a N-line option. If they wanted to make a pure (N) then put the 2.5 turbo in it getting close to that 300 HP mark.
This is actually very disappointing.
Idk the Kona N is going to be a rocket. I guess it depends on what you're looking for
I love the styling of the N-Line trim. But disappointed in not having a turbo engine and panoramic /moon roof option. I might as well get the SEL Premium Package.
Indeed
Other than the red stitching and N Line badging, I see absolutely no reason to go with the NLine at all.
My dealership got me an n line with paneramic sunroof, right from Korea, I'm in lloyd Alberta.
Might as well went hybrid sel
This is really a truly aggressive looking n line version of this sleek looking tucson. cant wait to test drive it though. one gripe i just wish they put the turn signals in the tailight cluster other than that, very nice hyundai
Really like the N line. Has nice trim touches. Glad to see Mason getting around much better
Got the diesel N-line in South Africa...Lovely car with the AWD. Pulls well with great fuel consumption.
Hey guys when you can get a hold of a 2022 Honda Passport I sure would love to see your reviews on it. I watch your reviews on all the vehicles you do.
Are those even released yet? It’s not much different until 2023 when it gets a do over.
We will definitely be on the lookout for one!
I just bought a 2022 nline tuscon and mine has panoramic sunroof and push button gear selectors maybe its different in canada all the reviews i see dont have that stuff
Great SUV love the outside design
I was going to get the Kona N, but looks like they won't be in by the time my lease is up on my 19 Kona Ultimate. Think I'm going to get this Tuscon instead
Yeah I have a 2019 Tuscon Night which I love but my N-line has the panoramic roof and the new one doesn't. I agree with you guys they should have the hybrid with the N-line trim level. Wouldn't get the new one that has less than what I currently have.
I love the 2022 Hyundai Tucson N line, it’s very nice and great price
Awesome review ever guys, this 22 Hyundai Tucson N-line is truly an agresive sporty cool looking Tuscan on the block!!😎😎♥️👍
Thanks!
What about the headlights?? one of the most important things!!!! How good are they???
The N-Line is the only trim I like because of the sporty design (darkened grille, nice rims, etc) but I hate the steering wheel and the taillights
I hate the rear turn signals the most. They’re halogens and are located down at the bumper. I can’t stand why Hyundai still does that in most of their cars in over 1O years
@@jonlosito2004 fr
@@jonlosito2004 stop tailgating and you won't have this problem
@@maga6319 it’s not that.. you’re behind a Tucson in a turning lane and you can’t even see then.
That rims, car wash guys will hate it😹
Whats up no push button shifter or paddle shifters on that one and a moon roof an upgraded package.
I would love to see an N Line Hybrid due to fuel savings and I love that traditional shifter (please do not take it away and go back to button shifter) and roller volume knob!!!!!
We need “What’s going on RUclips” merch
Anyone know if the 22 Tucson is available in the plug-in, N-line in the USA???
I got the linited tail gate wont open when im next to it there a certain distance i need to be
I have one, but my N line does have a moonroof! ❤️
What colour is this car?
now this or the rav4 xse? 🤔
The N line really looks great
If the sonata n line was given a shift knob like this tucson. I wouldve bought it
Unless you've got to have the red slash seats, why get the N Line over a loaded SEL or a Limited?
The exterior is quite different
needs a turbo to compete with the CX-5, which it could easily beat, since it's bigger and has way more tech!
Was going to pick one up but damn.. SEL with body kit. I’ll probably go with Palisade limited. Way more technology and space.
Why are they not bringing the N Line plug in Hybrid to the US?
Interesting how in PR we get the N-Line with panoramic sunroof but the US doesn’t.
Most of these reviews forget to mention the SEL Premium as if it's not the actual stopgap between the SEL/N Line and the Limited.
Excellent review as always!😸
😁
Where are the fog lights?
My N line I was told I don’t have any power lift gate. Maybe they are mistaken
I don't like that the backup lights and the turn signal is way at the bottom
Bruh I can't believe the didn't put paddles in the Tucson n-line along with the Kona n-line. Makes no sense since the elantra n-line gets the paddles
NO XM/Sirius?
It would be nice when you do the key fob to show how the remote start works
Lock the car. Press and hold the remote start button for 3-5 seconds.
Nice wheels
This n line should have used the 2.5t. I get that it would be the most expensive trim, but that option would have put one in my garage.
Very nice. Glad they put a real gear shift lever in it for a change.
Slam duck and air ball time should have a silly jingle :-)
N LINE IN CANADA COMES WITH PANORAMIC MOONROOF. I LOVE CANADA 🇨🇦
Not a fan of Hyundai's new grills. Especially the chrome looking ones. Disappointing no upgraded engine on the N Line. What's the point?
Hyundai is on 🔥...
Really wanted this model but what kills me is the no moon roof.
Sad that this is just a cosmetic package. Looks like an aftermarket turbo kit and more aggressive exhaust is going to be a must as soon as it's off the dealer lot.
I'm disappointed they didn't add a bit more power
Limited trim should have body color moulding. I can't believe they only have it on the fake sport model smh.
Europe has an nline hybrid limited. Why not the US?
No power improvement. Why buy?
it's not a race car kid. Why are you mad about it.
I want this car hardcore
I find it strange that the N line Tucson did not end up with the larger engine.
Just the base engine? Too bad. Among other upgrades, the Australian version gets a 2.0L turbo diesel. I wonder why the North American version is so watered down?
So this is just an appearance package?
I need driver memory seating with 22" tires on my
2022 Hyundai N line with a hydraulics system, that way you can see me a mile away bouncing up and down to my dirty rap 🎶 🎵 😂🤣😂🤣
Way to go Hyundai. Giving the consumers a choice. Please keep the price resonalble
Did he just call the panoramic roof a moon roof 😂😂😂
Why do so many reviewers treat the N-line as the N?
It has to be noted: Hyundai fired on all cylinders with the Tucson. They literally have something for every buyer in the small CUV class. Want a base model? Loaded? Hybrid? Loaded hybrid? Sporty model? They got you covered, all in a stylish package. While I may not agree with all of Hyundai's styling decisions(the Sonata still has some awkward proportions to me for instance), this vehicle has great road presence for something in this class. Then Hyundai didn't forget to design a great and functional interior.
They may not take down the RAV4 or CRV for top sales, but this vehicle isn't nearly as boring.(save for the RAV4 Prime that can cost $50k in some markets). The only thing I wish is if Hyundai would've broken all rules and put the 2.5T in this model. Ever since Subaru discontinued the turbo Forester, there hasn't really been a hot-rod in this class, save again for that pricey RAV4 Prime. I also wish they'd allow the 10" display to be optional on the N-Line, but oddly enough it does not allow for wireless Carplay/Android Auto on any H/K product. And also no moonroof for the N-Line? Maybe this is all due to parts shortage and allocation efforts?
The is a hot rod call the cx5 t
@@ontarioman6301 agreed. But that old Subaru was faster.
Don’t forget Mazda CX-5 Turbo which I just purchased
Kona rear cargo space is a little lacking. Kia does it a little better with the seltos.
Need something in between Kona and Tucson now that Tucson has gotten so big. Tucson is practically the same size as Santa Fe now
My wife just picked up her n line has a moon roof
I’m so confused as to how an N line doesn’t have a turbo. Literally every other N line has one. While the motor in this isn’t bad. Just leaves you scratching your head.
This is an n line, not an n that's why,lol
So it's "aggressive" right? 🤔
Is this the N Line or the N Line S?
In the U.S there is no trim called N-Line S

@@wardellward I picked up a CX-5, Wardell because Mazda still included the LEF fog lights and it drives better.
I was considering an N Line but late model Hyundai’s and Kia’s are such theft targets that I may look at a Rogue instead.
Are they prone to hacking or something?
@@xMaximilian614x
Apparently the steering columns are very easily broken and started without a key. Here in Milwaukee more than half of the vehicles stolen this year were Kia’s and Hyundai’s. There was even a piece on our local NBC affiliate about it. Very stupidly in my opinion, the city of Milwaukee has entertained filing a lawsuit against the company for being a public nuisance.
@@dave1956 wow that is insane
My wifes has that she said only the basic ordered.
Aww, man! Disappointed there’s no pano-roof option!😣
why complain?
My dealership ordered me one with a paneramic sunroof in the n line.got it yesterday, came in two weeks from Korea,to Alberta.
No paddle shifters on a more sporty tucson.. it's sport based why no paddle shifter.. doesn't make sense
Was expecting the N-Line was a little "more".
Waiting for the Tucson N release with 290 HP

Let's give the Tucson a more aggressive and sporty exterior look, but let's bog it down with a slow engine. Also Hyundai is only going to confuse everyone with N cars and then the N-line trims

They could at least pair it with the hybrid motor…
If this suv goes well maybe they'll do an N
현대N라인투산 한국에서도 인기~~🇰🇷👍
Not worth extra money for the same HP and some cheap badging and red stitching... Along with the cladding removal.
What's the purpose of "N-lining" SUVs? If you want speed, handling and steering - just buy a sport sedan.
Or this is done to quicker go from one grocery to another? ;)
In this case, purely cosmetic. No power or handling enhancements, but perhaps it makes you feel like its going quicker.
There’s only one reason: more money for Hyundai for those dumb enough to pay extra for this.
@@Z06ified more money? If you're going to troll, do better
Canadian version gets a full moon roof.
Ahhh...a stick gear changer! Button shifters should be an option not standard for ALL trim levels that have them. There are too many people complaining about them. Or if the stick shift is not standard it should be an option.
N Line SUV’s now? I’m listening….
The Tucson in no way deserves an N-Line badge. No engine boost, no deal.
I dare you to say, "agressive" one more time.
Don't be afraid of that frowny face when rating the acceleration. This car deserves it.
Not even gonna lie, the rear end of the car is hideous. The steering wheel, the headlights. Just not really a fan at all. Great review as always though!
I hate the rear turn signals the most. They’re halogens and are located down at the bumper. I can’t stand why Hyundai still does that in most of their cars in over 1O years
it looks good. You need better taste in cars kid.
@@jonlosito2004 stop tailgating people and you won't have this issue kid.
Futuristic design from 1940's lol! An elongated design in front, sharp edges at the back an a mix of whatever lines on the side, wtf!
Same 2.5L non turbo engine as the rest of them?!? I literally don't even understand how you can upgrade the entire car but not the engine?? In theory the N products interest people like me who can't afford a super car but still want something more. I really just don't understand who would take interest in this, if you're an enthusiast or anything of the sort, this completely misses the mark.
Those are some terrible rear turning signal placement. Omg that’s really low.

I would've bought the N Line if it came with everything the Limited has. Why didn't they give it the panoramic sunroof and the button shifters for the park assist feature? Whatever Hyundai.
The theory is that people who buy n line prioritize performance and a pano sunroof is quite heavy and affects handling. Same deal with the Elantra n line.
@@xMaximilian614x The problem is it's not a performance car... N Line is nothing but an appearance package in this car. It's not like you're getting Brembo brakes and a bigger turbo. I think it would've been nice to get the sporty looks and the luxury. Not just looks and miss out on luxury. If you wanted sporty you don't get a Hyundai Tucson. You get a Kona N Performance, Veloster N Performance or Elantra
@@lifeofmike556 totally agree, thats just the reasoning i've heard for the elantra n-line which is bonkers compared to this half-assed attempt.
Hi
Want power?..go for hybrid.
Nice car but this is a horrible Color according to my taste.White or dark grey is the color that strikes really well
This is just a new trim with higher sticker price, nothing special. Disappointed. Should've been had at least 1.6 turbo , better if it'd have 2.0 or 2.5 turbo with limited slip differential.
The cars made in Europe or Asia are really well made, but the cars made in Europe and shipped to the US are so damn awful. In the US you get the wrong versions of our cars. American version of the new tucson looks awful comparing to the European.
I don't know what you are looking at. The European, Korean, and American versions of the 2022 Tuscon ook basically the same!
