3 months late for discussion, but what the heck. It’s unfortunate you felt the way you did with Legends, and probably SV with both their open-ended forms of exploration. I personally had a great time with the game and its shift in making the Pokédex an essential element of progression and story building. However, I understand how the Pokédex’s implementation impeded on how many long time fans play the game, me included. Shifting Pokémon in and out to meet certain conditions, catching Pokémon left and right, using one move 100 times. It gets a bit redundant, less of an index that passively fills up as you play, but more of a list of chores- part of the reason why it’s a little hard to come back to the game besides the minimal online connectivity. While I greatly appreciate PLA for being a great way for Pokémon to make genuine shifts in their gameplay, past the conventions they’ve used for over two decades, the Legends “model” does need tweaking. I hope the extra year gives them the time to cook something truly special for the series.
I echo your sentiments of disappointment, not that I mean to bash on the game devs or anything, people are too harsh to them. But it's just a sad shame to see Pokemon clearly fail to live up to its full potential for so many years now. They continue to come up with really cool ideas, it's just that they often feel like someone's first draft. They don't have time, they don't have the staff, they're constantly under pressure. It sucks. I just want more Eeveelutions bro it's been 11 years
YOU ATE THAT UP!!! Jox and I agree like, we don't mean to whine and complain about what they show during presents but half the stuff they show in the beginning can be put on their twitter/instagram. We'd rather get no news than half baked ideas-- but that being said, Legends ZA looks promising!
@@dartdevious561 Gimme Flying, Ghost and Poison Eevos pls. :3 I've heard rumblings that the entire game is supposedly all set in Lumiose City, which has me worried. Since they called it the Lumiose Restoration, I'm assuming Legends Z-A takes place roughly 1850-1870 which is when the irl Paris Restoration was happening. That would make it roughly the same time period as PLA. Also, the spooky-as-hell Paris Catacombs opened to the public in the 1870's, so I really hope Lumiose has some grim deathly catacombs hiding beneath the city. ...If we don't finally get some backstory on the Lumiose ghost girl in this game I'll SCREAM.
