I think that the game awards are the worst ceremonies in the entire entertainment, at least the oacars have some noticeable moments (for the wrong reasons though) but the Game Awards, especially since the 2020 , really feels like a big advertasment, who only rewards the most popular games of the year, or the most "remarkable" AAA games, and i hope that one day disappears completly

    i agree and disagree:
Yes, most companies don't consider games art. But I think patents can be good. Most souls-likes are just trying to ride their coat-tails, and it's purely a business move. I would be pissed if fromsoft patented flasks and bonfires, but that's because I'm a consoomer who wants more of the same.
Most complaints about patents are bullshit. Some complaints about patents are valid like the patent on games being playable during loading screens. Others like whining about the Nemesis system are not.

Metaphor was a really disappointing game for me, not mentioning story they hyped it up as something unique and different from their mainline rpgs (smt and persona) but all it ended up being was a slightly harder persona with a handful of other smt mechanics thrown in and all it did was make me want to play those games instead (same thing happened with soul hackers 2 getting rid of the devil summoner gimmicks for being another persona).
Also the game awards judges are the same people that gave the new dragon age 8s and 9s lol
