I’ve got several 55s and have had okay luck with them, they start slowing down after a couple years of frequent use, I save them for parts. Mine are kayak series with a much shorter shaft which is really nice on my canoe. May get one if they bring out a short shaft version and see how it goes!
Just bought one, haven't even used it yet..I have a mariner 4 inflatable.I went with the 62 lb because It was as big as I could go with out adding another 12 volt.I have a 50 ah but I may bump it up to a 100 ah.Thanks for your feedback.I am headed to Mammoth in a few weeks
I really didn't notice any difference on the shaft or the depth of the shaft. One of the main differences I saw was that the 62 lb had an inline fuse where the 55 didn't. And the 62 is so much faster than the 55 it's crazy I really liked it
I was curious what kind of speeds you’re getting with the 62 if you happen to know. I’ve been looking at getting on for my 16ft Lowe but I’ll need it to be able to get to about 2mph in wind and current with one passenger. Salmon fishing on the Columbia requires plenty of power, just hoping I can get it for a good price. Thank you for any help
I really don't know the speeda however, the film I shot was in heavy wind and rough water with 3 adults on my 16ft. I wasn't disappointed in the power this troller had.

I love this troller ... I think It's far better than the 55lb.
Have a great fishing trip!
@@skinners100honestreviews3 Thank you!
Great video. What size boat are you using? I also got a 62lb trust motor with an intex Mariner 4 boat.
The video was shot in a 16ft with 3 adult passengers
@skinners100honestreviews3 thank you. Appreciate the information
Know of any differences between this one and the 55 lb? The 30" shaft on the 55 looks to be better for my boat. Love Newport vessels.

@@skinners100honestreviews3 alright I appreciate the response. I’m going to go ahead and do it. Your boat was around 1000 lbs you said correct?
Sounds very noisy
It's pretty quiet actually.
My microphone is pretty sensitive.
