  • Brockhampton confuses me often. This song is heavy and has tons of texture to it. I'm impressed by the flow as well. They have a lot going on in this track. Still working on getting those names figured out though.

1st guy rapping is Matt champion
    2nd guy is Joba
3rd is Merlyn (not Jamaican, From Ghana/Texas)
Last guy is Bearface. He's a great singer. You'd hear that on SUMMER, WASTE, and a bunch of other songs

Merlyn (the one who you said was Jamaican, he’s actually Ghanaian) dropped out of The University of Texas (he was an architect student), that’s what he was referring to.

Little tip for looking at lyrics, go on Genius.com and look for the lyrics for songs and they say the names of who is rapping/singing. This might help you learn names.

I don't know if your channel still working but just for give you some facts about BH.
Joba (the one you thought it was Matt Champion) has DID, which is dissociative identity disorder, that is why he said "you will not last a day in my head, that is why I did the drugs I did". You can listen more about his disorder in the song SISTER/NATION.
PD. I'm not american, hope you understood my english, i apologize for grammatical errors.

I don't know if I agree with you on all the points but that could be because I've known them for a while and am a fan
you're just getting to know them. They definitely weren't in a good place during this album (Iridescence), this was right after
Ameer was kicked out for those allegations and they made this album in 10 days in Abbey Road, it was the first
album they actually made in a studio, the first three (Saturation 1, 2 and 3), all of which were made and released in
a year, were made in the house they all shared. Some of them still share a house and some of them have split up
into pairs. Ginger is their most recent album and although it's sombre, you can tell they're in a much better place.
There are 11-14 members in total, all of whom are considered a part of the band,
    The vocalists:
Kevin Abstract: (leader and founder, Brockhampton is the name of the street he grew up on, he also directs all the music videos)
Merlyn Wood (He's from Ghana, not Jamaica), Dom McLennon, Joba (he did the mixing for the first 3 albums too), Bearface, Matt Champion
Ameer Vann (he's the one who they kicked out)
    Producers:
Romil Hemnani, Jabari Manwa, Kiko Merley
    Creative:
HK (Graphic designer and edits the music video), Ashlan Grey (photographer, films all the music videos), Robert Ontenient
    (Web design,
he's also the "me llamo roberto" guy, Jon Nunes (manager), Kevin Doan (assistant video production)
It'll be great if you reacted to the albums, then you'd be able to see their progression as musicians and people too but if you want
to stick to just the videos/songs then I recommend: Weight, Bleach, San Marcos (the live Triple J version is way better than the video),
Ready For War (unreleased for reasons but great song), Dearly Departed, No Halo, 1999 Wildfire, 1998 Truman, Fabric.
This is long (sorry), but now you're basically caught up.

Sorry, it doesn’t say who is singing in the lyrics on Google. Apparently there are some other services I can use.

AlecTheCatholic I’d recommend using Genius, probably the most accurate lyrics you’ll find and they label each verse with the respective member
