You can enter without standing in your costume outside this is because there's a walk through door which is already in the water. So if you're worried about the getting in and out there' no need worry. If you love water you'll love it and it snowed which was magical.
I'm from Iceland and have been to the lagoon since childhood. It sure is a nice place. Your skin feels so soft and nice for like a week after it. Now they have nice shower stalls for privacy and so on. I've only been in summer for past years and just soak there and enjoy a cold beer.

Haha. We dont bathe in lagoons or do anything that tourists would do. I am an icelander and i have never been to the blue lagoon. Iceland is a fairly normal place for my people if anything most of us are tired to see mountin after mountin and wish we instead had beatiful open fields.

Hi Maddie, The water in the blue lagoon averages 37-39 °C (99-102 °F). It's not going to burn you. It should feel somewhere between warm and hot. Hope that helps.

It’s barely dirty at all. There’s no fish, which also means there isn’t fish shit. I swim in my local lake all the time (I live in Michigan what do you expect) and it’s full of fish, people, beaches and boats and it’s not clean at all, but I’m fine all I have to do is take a shower afterwards and I’m fine. I even accidentally swallow a lot of water and never got sick from it. Here you’d be fine even if you didn’t take a shower and you wouldn’t smell bad afterwards.

Im from Iceland. And the Blue Lagoon is not natural thing. Its flow away hot water from boreholes from a nearby heating plant. So what I've been saying for years, why not make more of those lagoons in other places in Iceland. Why let a single company just monopolize on this ?
