Hello Sam, I just love all of your tutorials and I try to make many of them. However, this time with the tissue box after I finished it, it was about 1/2 “ too small. So I made it again thinking I got the measurements wrong. Both times the lid was too big for the box. Did you happen to give us the wrong score marks or possibly the wrong side measurements? Then I thought that maybe your tissue boxes in the UK are smaller??? Whatever the case may be, I do want to make a couple for Christmas gifts. I know there are other tutorials out there but I always prefer to follow yours. I watch every one you put up. You are amazing. I am 75 years young and I have been paper crafting and sewing for 70 years. Yes, I started when I was five on a treadle sewing machine. Thank you for all your wonderful tutorials. Colleen

This is such a fantastic idea! I've been reusing an actual tissue box that I thought was really pretty. I added magnet strips to one of the side flaps so it would stay closed and I take the new tissues out as a whole bundle and stick them in the old box. I also made one using Velcro but its side is more bulky than the thinner magnet strip. On a side note, the paper you're using reminded me instantly of the video for Gotye's "Somebody I Used to Know." LMAO!

Hi Sam made this today and followed all the measurements correctly, but for some reason the box ended up at 4 3/8ths by 4 3/8ths so the top was too big. I can't understand how it turned out that size when everything was correct ant the patterned paper was correct on it. 😢 Xx

It doesn’t fit Kleenex boxes in America. Too short.

I'm in the US and have been looking high and low for a cheap plastic tissue box that i could decorate for my vanity. apparently they don't exist anymore. i never thought about card stock or foam board (i just watched your drawer unit video). it really doesn't get much cheaper than that, does it? adding this to my project playlist. thank you!!!!!
I like this a lot. My cover did not fit the tissue box. I guess they are not the same size.

What is the size of the original tissue box? I know here in the USA, Kleenex is one size and Puffs is another size. I make mine with a top that goes down over the side so there is a little bit of different colors.

Sam, your projects are always so pretty but you speak soooo fast and it’s so hard to follow you, especially if your are a senior citizen. I’d like to duplicate your work and I lose you most times.
