I don´t like SUVs in general, but I don´t mind a sensibly designed crossover. The dimensions of the Aceman are great, just a tad taller than a traditional compact car and the restraint when it comes to width is also appreciated. What I still can´t stomach is the boxy front section. With just a bit more slope in the headlight and "grille" part it could have been more pleasant and less controversial. Thanks for the details concerning suspension calibration, that information won´t be available everywhere. BTW, also i3 driver here, it´s a shame that BMW neglected that segment for so long, the Aceman comes at least close.
You're welcome. I always try to bring a different angle and with more substance and details. Good to see another fellow i3 owner. Such a fantastic car! Even a BMW board member told me recently they bought one because it's so cool still
interesting, I am in china , just ordered an aceman today , I took a while to decide which one to pick and finally I took the aceman especially coz I like the boxy front and rear, It feels like a tiny Range Rover which is funny and pleasant, also quite relaxing.
My problem as an i3S owner (in the Netherlands) has been the same as yours Horatiu and the Aceman could have solved it but for some issues: - it’s a Chinese car - it doesn’t offer much more range then the i3S So I’ll stick to my late 2019 i3S (full options) and wait until there will be an all new small sized BMW Neue Klasse available (hopefully 🤗).
Great video and review! I’ve just test driven both the electric Cooper SE and the Aceman SE. I really liked the Aceman but the biggest minus for me was the steering. It was too woobly especially on rural roads and when changing lanes on the highway at high speeds. Tried to adjust it in the menus but remained wobbly compared to my Tesla Y and BMW I3. Did you also find the steering wobbly?
@@bmwblog I think so, and I fiddled around in the menus to try to find a setting for stiffer steering, but did not feel any major change when adjusting that. The test car was however set up with winter tyres and that might have something to say on the softness of the steering/suspension... Maybe I need to testdrive it again before I eventually decide :-)
There are so many variables, like you pointed out too. Tires, surfaces, etc..It's also a subjective feel so it's tough to say. Overall, I feel like it's a car that does its job well. Doesn't excel in all areas, but doesn't disappoint either. Just a good daily driver

I think its a good balance, not too big, but can still fit four 6 footers in relative comfort. And I'm glad its not just another super tall SUV.
Yes. You nailed it. I liked the car a lot. Would have been perfect for me to replace the i4

Might be a while for a small Neue Klasse.
@ i’m a patient man with a brilliant car 😎

I didn't experience that but again, different surfaces also. Did you use the go kart mode and regular modes also?

Have ordered an Aceman.
Nice. Color? Where do you live?
@@bmwblog Sweden. Melting Silver.
Great color.
@@TommyCronholm same color as mine!
@@uncois Great minds think alike. 🙂
I'd really like an updated i3 🤔
Not sure we will see one again.
Is it smaller or bigger than the volvo ex30?
I need to look at the size. Might be slightly smaller
About 15cm/ 6in shorter and slightly narrower. But does look like it has better rear leg and foot room than the EX30.
@@riaz8783 that's great!
This would be a good comparison
I’ve got one coming in December. How is it size wise to compared to a i3s?( which I’m changing for the Aceman)
Very good question. They are quite similar honestly. For both front and rear.
@ What about the one pedal driving compared to the i3?
It's less aggressive than in the i3
@@bmwblog last question. What’s quicker at the traffic lights Grand Prix😉
:) Tough to say, I think 0-100 kph is pretty similar.
Awful, just awful. Mini, WTF are you doing?
Why is it awful?
