FYI This road has been renovated many times. The problem is not about budget, but the technical issues are. The soil and movement of titanic underneath are the major issues. This road is about 30Km. If you had USD 100M that you can spend to build a road of 300Km, would you spend that amount to build such a 30km? The answer is NO !!! The ministry of the transportation of Cambodia has done several feasible studies and also asked foreign specialists to help on this road, but it still takes times because of the technical issues. As I heard from Minister of Transport, Mr. Sun Chanthol, in order to improve this road for longevity and good conditions, we have to pour tons of concrete below the existing soils to keep the titanic movement and bad soils below steady.
