What is the ROI from earning PSAT/NMSQT Recognition?

Many students and parents get really riled up when a student earns PSAT/NMSQT recognition, as though achieving this will somehow earn the student admission into many colleges that were previously unreachable. Today, I explain why this couldn't be further from the truth.

That's not the only way to look at the benefits of such recognition. Not everybody is shooting for the Ivy League schools. For a kid with limited funds, there are a lot of public and private universities offering generous scholarships (sometimes a full ride) for National Merit Scholars.

For ivy league schools, all standard test scores don't matter, only need your color, race and liberal political ideas.
