Emerson College Enrollment Emergency

Emerson College in Boston girding itself to have far fewer students than hoped enroll this fall. What, if anything, does this say about broader undergraduate enrollment trends? Or is this a situation unique to Emerson?

Emerson is a competitive college to be admitted to.
There is a demographic cliff somewhere, whereby there were simply less children born and therefore, less students to educate. Critical to keep an eye on the enrollment figures as they are released in the coming weeks to see if what happened at Emerson is part of a wider trend.
