I don't get approached irl, but I do get admirable glances in person. But the way it's going my single season might be drawing to an end. I just feel it's on the horizon.

    I would love to go places by myself, but I fear looking awkward and uncomfortable which is a turnoff too.

    • @DRTARTT1
      @DRTARTT1  Год назад +7

      The best and only way to get rid of fear is to do it and then you become comfortable. It really is actually easy. Just go somewhere you like (a restaurant or lounge and sit at the bar and order) and then engage in small talk. Then, you feel comfortable because everyone who came alone is looking for conversation too. However, you have to see for yourself vs. just think about it. After that, the world of going places alone is easy.

    • @DR-lf5rg
      @DR-lf5rg 11 месяцев назад

      Coming from a sister who goes 100% of places by myself including dinner out, movies, networking events, football/baseball/basketball games, jazz concerts, clubs, dance schools, etc., it's important to learn how to enjoy your own company, treat yourself, and be comfortable in your own skin, especially by yourself.
      Go to your favorite restaurant, sit at the bar, put your phone in your purse, watch TV, people watch, and have a pleasant look on your face, and people will flock to you.
      I have met sooooooo many men by being friendly, giving great conversation, and being alone.
      Do it sis! A good, mature guy wants a woman who can be alone and be in her own skin, no matter what.
      When you learn to do this, your life gets exponentially better, and it's just a matter of time before you meet a great guy.
      For example, I went to a Black MBA networking event, and I was strategic with the people I spoke with. At the end of the night, I connected with some very successful brothers on LinkedIn and followed up with them professionally. I also got a mini date after the event because one of the attendees walked me to the train station, asked for my number, and called me the next day. That would have not happened if I was with another person.
      Honestly, you shouldn't be looking for a relationship if you can't love being by yourself. ❤❤❤

    The biggest trend I see is Black men preferring, dating, and marrying non-Black women (in fact 90% of my Black male cousins don't date Black women).
    I see Black men very often at networking events with their non-Black wives or partners.
    This trend along with the hate online towards Black women saddens me because it sends a message to us and the world that they see us as lower value.
    Every single week, I go to professional events, networking meetings, sports bars, basketball games, restaurants, etc. by myself with no luck.
    Men describe me as fun and bubbly and come up to me but nothing happens.
    I work out 4 to 5 times a week, and I dress classy, cute and conservative, and wear a curly fro, but I don't get any play.
    Can any other sisters relate?

    I don’t recommend online dating. That’s just me. I believe in the old fashioned way…..Trust me it STILL works.
    I think men should do the work of pursuing.
    Women should work to be “prepared” to be pursued.
    Wife is not just a title or a role it’s a ministry. It’s a duty that requires service.
    There’s no room for selfishness. Period!
    As a woman what can you do to add to a man’s life not subtract from it?
    Can you be his Tylenol and not his headache?
    Can you bring more that’s what’s between your legs? Can you bring what’s between your ears?
    Women are the gatekeepers of sex but…..Men are the gatekeepers of marriage.
    Are you capable of being a long term thing or just a play thing?
    Real talk…..
    Married 16 years now but I came to these conclusions from experience and observations.

    • @DRTARTT1
      @DRTARTT1  Год назад +2

      Joyce, I encourage you to do you my friend. We just have to make sure we are getting results. Men are online in droves because they tend to be less social and want the power and logical power to choose right from the phone.

      @joycewatt8289 Год назад

      @@DRTARTT1Thank you. I most certainly will. My only hope is that in order for more black women to be taken seriously and considered candidates for marriage is that they’ll be more mindful of who they take dating and marriage advice from.
      Not everyone is equipped. While no one of course is perfect; there are some who are more qualified than others. Off the top as for men in this space…..
      Tony Gaskins and RC Blakes are two that immediately come to mind.
      A young lady recently had her throat slashed by a man she met online. I think many maybe not all but many men online see and smell desperation from 10 miles away. Online often equates easy sex and/or swindling unwise and foolish women out of their money and their panties and in some cases their lives but…. I digress
      Newly Unsubscribed.
