- CKUA's Grant Stovel recently welcomed Wood Mountain Hill, SK duo Kacy and Clayton into CKUA's historic record library. The folk outfit were traversing the province in support of their brand new release, 'Strange Country'. The album is available on Big White Cloud Records in Canada, and New West Records in the US.
The band perform "The Rio Grande" and "Dying Bed Maker", and talked with Grant about forming their own label, their recent trip to SXSW, and their songwriting process.

I’ve been discovering these two retrospectively after their recent release with Marlon Williams and going through their records has been a real joy...this song is near the top of my K & C top ten..it’s awesome!
Hey! I've been doing the same. Blown away, pretty much. I had them on my Amazon music player the other night while making dinner and eating dinner and not one song that I felt like skipping in any way. Kind of like a warm blanket, once you're in it you don't want to let go.
The Rio Grande is so beautiful. This haunting song is one of my favorites.
