Lidl are selling green coloured tarps 2 for £10 and they are 6 meters long and 1.5 wide so ideal for building emergency shelters or covering raaised beds for winter.
I make my own sauerkraut..turmeric,ginger,garlic,carrots & black pepper along with usual white cabbage etc. experimented & cobbled together a recipe..& its very popular
Ireland here. Just a few months ago butter had went back down to €2.99 lb, just a few weeks ago, it jumped to €3.39 and just today i saw its now €3.59! I got 4 turkey breasts today reduced by 40%, 1 for tea this evening and the others vacuum sealed 😊 also got free range chicken breasts 40% off too. If i see things like that i grab quite a few and vacuum seal for later. There were loads of other things reduced, turkey mince, burgers, fish etc but didn't get any
I keep canned evaporated milk, condensed sweetened milk and coconut milk on my shelves and they all have natural "solids" in them . I have learned that if once every 6-8 weeks or so I go and Shake each one a couple of times and set it back on the shelf UPSIDE DOWN from how it was. This way they keep Much longer without the solids settling out. I picked 6-8 weeks because that is when I check for seals and best by and use by dates as well as check for things that are not being used therefore building up. ❤ everyone.
Anna, I might be wrong but the sauerkraut in jars is no longer live, I only buy live sauerkraut, but I would buy the jars for the taste even if it wasn’t live.
Great haul, I have also recently got into the habit of visiting three supermarkets each Sunday - all close together so it does make sense. I also bought that bulgar wheat, I have started using more grains recently instead of vegetables because I am fed up with the vegetables going off so quickly.
I keep a couple of boxes of coffee 2 in 1 sachets in case we cannot get hold of milk at home. I carry one or two in my EDC as well for at work if we run out of coffee.
November = Christmas prepping - pickles and presents prioritised ... But couldn't resist a big tin of Ghee for £4 at Morrisons , dated DEC 25 so good for a year ..
That grated cheese is good in a breadmaker. A spoonful added to a cheese, onion and sundried tomato loaf. With a spoonful of oregano, and a spoonful of basil.
Thank you for all your tips and suggestions, Ana. I love your channel. This might seem a silly question but, our cellar has recently flooded and I lost some of my preps. Or rather I didn’t trust them to be safe. After salvaging what I could, cleaning and rearranging everything, I was left with what to do about the bottles of water. I’ve washed them down. The water was not contaminated, but wondering if sterilising the outside of the bottles will be enough to be able to keep them.
No probiotics in jarred sauerkraut, I’m afraid, the pasteurisation process kills all the good stuff so it’s basically just a jar of veg. Good for fibre, though.
I am in the States and am prepared for almost anything, including simply not being able to afford things or just being able or it being safe to, get out. Tomorrow is the so-called election, and I fear that there could be problems.I am going shopping just to get MORE, always MORE. It may be the last trip for a while; I never know which will be my last grocery run. I put in a number of pickled vegetables, Sauer kraut, and others. (No unrefrigerated kimchee here.) We don't have jarred hotdogs, but some sausages. I did can my own hotdogs. Corn of all types have been going up, I heard and started picking all forms up for the last 4 years. I also put in tinned and jarred Italian sauces, something that was never in my house. I stocked dried fruit years ago. Many baked biscuits, etc. get really stale tasting. So far, they have lasted well in mylar. OH, Walnuts have been at least 3 X the price here. When I hit a nut sale, I vacuum-seal them in glass jars and they have been lasting. I have all kinds of coffee, after hitting sales. Have you dehydrated marshmallows? They work well, as does cheese. That is my long-term plan for cheese. NO 10p cookies ANYWHERE anymore. A jar of onions twice the size of yours is well over $ 3 USD. I would grab many if I had your cost.
Anna I ❤ your content & channel. Anna please may I ask your opinion on Coconut milk? Thankyou in advance ❤ One thing please - I am surprised that a prepper an awake lady downloaded apps ? Much Love always ❤ Amanda Jane-Free Spirit ❤
Thank you 😊 coconut milk is ok ti store but it really really separates over long term storage and becomes hard at the bottom. As per apps , we’ll , they have so much info on us anyways, this one saves money so one got to do to provide for the family and preparedness 😉

There is something I do and it’s whenever you buy something that you don’t need that often but really need I always buy two things like light bulbs
I always buy one extra of everything too
2 is 1 and 1 is none 😊

You are correct , this one was pasteurised so not live 🫤 but still tasty and dues have some goodness

Make sure if you are buying sauerkraut that it isn't pasteurized some of them unfortunately are.
I ❤ sauerkraut ❤
The same applies to bottled "health drinks" like the green mixed fruit and veg drinks.
I think it has to be pasteurised if sold in a bottle ,it would be in the
fridge if not.Still good to have as an extra veggie though !
Good to see your taking it serious 👍👍
Hi again Anna love your vidios keep them comming
Thank you 😊
You are a star Ana
Thanks Ana!
Apparently prices are going up in April again because of the budget

Thank you for the idea 🥰
Oh my goodness, I discovered sun dried tomatoes recently, I've been missing out for years 😂

I had loads on my last haul from Asda 50p 😊
Very nice haul.... interesting variety!❤
Lidl is great, we got 12 cans of caned tomatoes for 99 swedish kronor
Ana, those coffee sachets are £1.09 for 8 in Aldi. I use them at the office x
Thank you I will check it out . I generally doubt like ALDIs foods but it’s worth a try for that much of a price difference. 😊
Can you give information on where to get some dried egg powder or how to make it
You can dehydrate your own and then make powder, I will create a video 😊
I love your green shirt!! I would order one if available online 😊😊
Believe it or not it is from George at Asda, I loved the colour 😊
@AnasFoodLifestyle I live in Slovenia. We don't have those stores here. 😞
The person that designed the stackable cans said anyone could use the design except Heinz so he must had a falling out with them at some point

Sorted. They’re gone and I’ve bought fresh. I decided not to risk it.

@AnasFoodLifestyle Thankyou Anna for your kind reply ❤️
I’ve noticed it’s mostly women prepping more than men
sorry Anna, could not watch again, lots of flashing on screen
No issues here for me!
