Hi, May I ask you something? So I am doing a study about the impact of Free Trade Agreement and I am using Gravity Model about this. The data I am inputtinf in e view are Panel Data, but I can't import them correctly. In the end it says error: there are repeated values in Id series, which means Countries are repeated, they actually are but that's why it is called panel data. I don't know if there is a problem with e view that I use is the Student Version. Can you help me? I am working on my diploma thesis and I am running out of time. Thank you!
Hello, I have a dataset in excel of 4k companies (along rows), and the ratio's for them organised per column, e.g. ebit 2010, ebit2011, and so on. In total I have 4k rows and 74 colums. Can I just import this dataset into eviews as panel data without manipulating the excel file first? Because adding 10 year colums to each company row is an unsurmountable tasks seeing that I have 4k of them. Thank you
Hi, I tried to import an Excel file to Eviews, but whenever I tried, it popped up this message : " The XYZ.xls is not a legal file name". If I drag-and-drop the file to Eviews, another error message appeared: "The "' file does not exist". Do you know what's the problem is?
What's the purpose or objective of listing all those variables?, what's the relationship between those variables?, what exactly do you intend to analyze?, what's the dependent variable?

I've read that the method also can be used, among others Seemingly Unrelated Regression (SUR), Panel Corrected Standard Error (PCSE), and GLS. but I am confused For apply these methods in eviews. me too, i am trying to solve this problem now.
Are these Read Only files, or have you enabled editing?
sometimes you need to use the name assign to the file when you enable editing
