    I love it when you make the pinyin appear after the hanzi characters. And the literal translations are just the cream of it all. It feels like I can't have enough of that.

    • @ChineseForUsOfficial
      @ChineseForUsOfficial  6 лет назад

      Thanks for your question. In Chinese we have different Measure Words for different objects. Using 个 ge is generally okay and people will understand you, but for some items, native speakers use specific Measure Words for them.

      我要吃 I'm going to eat. (you're telling someone what you plan to do; a definite plan.) 我想吃 I think I want to eat. Or: I miss eating. (you're wishful-thinking, you're saying that you may eat later... or not.)

    • @cjjacklee001
      @cjjacklee001 5 лет назад

      sometimes they are interchangeable. E.g. It's time for lunch. Q:你要/想吃什么?A: 我要吃披萨. or 我想吃披萨. they are both in the future tense and mean you want to eat pizza. In other situations, 要means to eat pizza at 100% in your mind while 想means maybe 80% depending the tone you use.
