  • Video I filmed of green monkeys (Chlorocebus sabaeus) in the wild in Dania Beach, Florida. See this video in 4K resolution for best results. These monkeys are also known as vervet monkeys. There are only around 40 green monkeys living in the wild in Dania Beach and in this video you can see at least 10 of them, including a baby green monkey. These monkeys are native to Senegal, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Côte d'Ivoire, and other African countries. There are introduced populations in Barbados, other West Indian Islands, and a small population in Dania Beach, Florida.
Green Monkeys have lived in Dania Beach for over 80 years. They escaped from the Dania Beach Chimp Farm (It was first named the Anthropoid Ape Research Foundation) in the 1940's and these green monkeys have sustained a small population of around 20-40 individuals during this time. My Wife and I had a good time observing these green monkeys and we hope they continue living happily in Dania Beach.

@magnanimus9692 Thank you for watching! South Florida has a small population of green monkeys that has existed for over 80 years. There are currently around 40 green monkeys in the wild in Dania Beach. Most of the time they are not easy to find, since they live in forested areas, but sometimes they can be seen from a distance. I will post more wildlife videos in the next couple of months.
