    Great video , very clear and concise. I only begin to have trouble when I begin tightening, this is no fault of yours, purely my problem.

      That is indeed the hardest part with knots that cover objects. After a few you will get the hang of it!

    sensational tutorial I followed along with several pauses just to get caught up to you and was able to complete this project I will be making several more of these for my little Christmas tree.

      An egg carton is excellent for storing them during the rest of the year.

      You can make them out of brass cleaning rods from gun kits

    1 inch too small, how about 2 inches? How abjust this knot to 2 inch core?

      Maybe use bigger rope. I wan to try some 9.5mm sisal and 9.5mm nylon or maybe if you need to stay with paracord you could double up the passes. Nice if you could let us know how you get on if you try. I have some expanded polystyrene balls that look right for size but I'm not confident yet. It took a lot of practice to get this right as it is my first pineapple knot and I got lost every time on the interweave even after mastering the base knot using a mandrel with pins. I have done four now and like it very much. I might even sell some in the craft shop for charity. John
