Thank you so much for this tutorial. Perfectly understandable and the right speed to follow along. I have made several lanyards for friends and family with this video and every single one turned out great.

Mark: Can’t tell you how much I have learned from your videos; paracord primarily but rope as well. Years ago I tried my hand at weaving a rope end back on itself, as well a weaving a loop, from an old knot book. Kept messing it up. Then I watched your video and discovered how easy it was. Thanks for all your time and effort in showing us how it’s done. Donald

Hi Marko, I too want to express my thanks for your excellent tutorial. I enjoy making these key fobs and handing them out as gifts especially around the holidays. Most everyone is very appreciative. I find making these key fobs engaging and very nice way to relax at the end of the day. Many thanks.

Hi Marko! Thank you for the great tutorial. I’m finally able to make these consistently. I did find that getting the loop in at the end was quite a challenge, so i drilled a little hole in the end perpendicular to the mandrel and I run a small piece of micro cord thru it then thru the lanyard, and back thru the little hole in the mandrel. I tighten that up and then just slide the gaucho knot over the lanyard and voila! It’s thru! No fuss,no muss! Thanks again!!!

perfect timing! i had only recently learned turks heads, mainly from SD's two bight fob and I was getting gauchos down with practice and wondered how the gaucho would look on the 2B fob. no need to wonder. i just finished mine & it looks great. I learned to finish the ends clean and did my first 3 pass fan! thanks for all the help!

    Very nice tutorial.
I ALWAYS get messed up where the standing ends and working ends cross. ALWAYS. So it took me a little extra time. BUT this was quite easy to follow. I appreciate the Os and Us on the screen. Very helpful.
    Love you, Mark!

Fat fingers....any way, that thing kicked my ass. It must have taken me at least 20 times to finally get it right. That was my second interweave i had done, that was about 2 years ago.

finally found the time to make one of these. it turned out nice. however, because I tie my knot tight, it is a bit small. next time I'll tie it a bit longer.

Excellent, Marko. I only recommend the lanyard knot method that Weavers of Eternity uses. It's so simple. But still, this is a great tutorial.

Hey Tana, glad to see you stop by :).
I have seen that method and it does indeed look quite neat. But you know, if it ain't broke, don't fix it :).
Once you learn a knot it becomes a hassle to learn to tie it in another way. I had the same issue learning how to use pins for turk's head knots. I never used them so it was frustrating for me.

Thank you Mabel for the comment. I do agree that pins can be helpful, usually for tying more exotic knots.
I also recognize that you are a knot enthusiast. You have a joy for studying knots. Many people enjoy studying knots.
Personally I am more interested in making things. I will study the knots with the intent of using them.
For me studying knots is problem solving, for you it is driven by curiosity.
This is a common difference among individuals. As long as we respect each other, it is all good :)

Have you ever tried submerging your paracord projects in boiling water? It shrinks the paracord a little making any knot or wrap super tight.
