I was struck by just how many people are not dressed at all for the rain. While many do carry umbrellas, about 80% of the people on this street do not. Hats are extremely rare. My hometown is Vancouver which is another rainy city. There in rainy season I always carried either a folding umbrella or a rain hat. In SE Asia I always did the same.
Pretty much till the end of September. It's Rainy season right now. November till the end of January are the best time to visit Bangkok and also upper Thailand, cause the cool air from China will comes down from there and the weather will be quite cool, less humid and pleasant.

@@harsh_360 i doubt that. Ever since Thailand reopened all the hotels prices went up almost immediately. People were starving to travel and once the veil was lifted, they flooded into the country. I hope i'm not ruining it for you🙏

I'd put that down to climate. In Vancouver, getting wet could mean getting dangerously cold. Not so much of a problem nearer the equator.

It’s 8pm. Thais sometimes make the mistake of adding or removing six hours when telling the time in English.
@@Quaristice Traditionally we Thai use the 6 hours time system not the 12 hours (am-pm) like the western so it may be confusing changing system.
