Do you know of any AI that shows dimension markup on the render? For example rendering a kitchen that is 10 Feet Length and the render shows the measurements
I used Lumion at first, I tried enscape and I was hesitating to switch to D5. But it has everything it’s cheap compared to the others and has a huge potential. There is one feature maybe missing. In lumion we have that feature that allows you to arrange your model with perspective grids I thinks it’s the only thing missing in D5. But I am really satisfied with D5 the only concern is you have to get a good computer 😅.
Agree to all, and also the speed of the rendering and the fact that you no need to have a monster GPU to use it. D5 works very well with my laptop 6gb GPU and 16 GB ram. And i beleve the best is yet to come!
@@thearchitecturegrind what i mean is there is no dedicated hair material. what is in d5 render is just flat carpet material which is not sustainable option.
@@ProTipsh ok, they have not added that yet unfortunately. If you go to the d5 website and click on Products > roadmap you can click on a link that says vote now and it will allow you to vote on features they should add. Fur is one of them
Currently there is no fur. You have to either import a 3d mesh or use the grass scatter tool and change the base color to mimic fur . I’m sure in the next updates they will add it
I purchased the top version of TM a couple months ago, i havent been using, cause i used corona render. Im gonna switch to real time rendering, but im having a really hard time pickig over TM or D5.. i like some features of TM like megascan, Sketchafab assets, that is owned by epic, and is getting some Unreal engine stuff.. pathracing etc, but d5 assets are great and now the scatter feature and ai enhacement really cought me... wich software do you think is better in the long run!??
I would say both options are good long term. It is so hard to pick just one software because each year it can change depending on the software updates. I will say D5 has done a great job recently of being ahead of the game with updates.
No not at the moment because there are some technical issues. Here is the specs page: www.d5render.com/post/system-requirements-for-d5-render#:~:text=Apart%20from%20support%20for%20ray,with%20Apple's%20macOS%20operating%20system.
Been a Lumion user for many years and am seriously considering a jump to D5. Exterior raytracing in Lumion just does not look good. The material workflow is also frustratingly limited.
I recommend switching . I switched from lumion to d5 a year and half ago and will never go back ! The quality increase is crazy and you can work on much bigger files
The only reason i tried d5 is speed. I tried chaos vantage before because i am using vray and corona. But bruh.. 200 frames will takes an hour with 4070 ti super in vantage meaning any mistake in sequence rendering then you are done. With d5 only takes 10-20 minutes.
@@P07AT0 for sure. But in my case I can't have a mistake even if just a little bit, because animation render takes hours. While in D5 render is 4-5 times faster
just a tip - stop jumping to your face so often - it's kind of harsh (the constant jumping, not your face) and I'd rather keeping seeing architecture videos - great video btw!
The last update is 2.9 with the new flagship tool called terrain …they literally made a monster !!
@@catsven1973 I love using that tool now
All these in free version?
Beautiful, but a bad design will still be a bad design, just more realistic 😂
That is so true
I am interested if D5 can keep up the momentum with all their recent updates and progress
great point we will have to see

@@anthonymendola2108 you can use the distance tool in twinmotion. Otherwise you would just have to manually put in it.
Are all the features you mentioned in this video available in the free version? Please respond.

Love that it doesn’t require a huge pc
Does d5 have a low resolution mode for the viewport so that it will save some gpu power? Thanks!
is it compatible with autocad?
No, but they are looking into in the future

What about D5 did you like the most?

USD 38 a month. It doesn't break the bank.
can you make video on D5 vs enscape
I will put that in the list of future videos to potentially explore
any update on making fur and carpet?
In what way, do you mean new materials or if that have existing materials like fur and carpet because they do

I use both but often gravitate towards D5. It is much easier to reach good lighting. And it renders faster than TM
