- Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Michael Szwajkowski, Cruise Director, and Robert Hines, the Newbuild HR manager, give us a tour of the various crew spaces on Icon of the Seas.
The crew neighborhood consists of 12 spaces and has become a beloved home away from home for the amazing crew onboard. It's a reflection of years of research, trial and error, and thousands of feedback from the crew who live and breathe this space every day.
The spaces provide the crew with fun, relaxation, physical and mental fitness, and more. These include Crew Windjammer, Clubhouse, Karaoke & Disco, Pub, Gaming Room, Market, Barber Shop, Training Room, Gym, Break Room, Changing Room, and Crew Cabins.

Looks great! But don't you think charging crew for coffee is a bit much?? Or is that just 'fancy' coffees and basic teas and coffees are complimentary? also are soft drinks in the bar free? Do crew have free WiFi?
Java is for "fancy" coffee. Crew mess has regular coffee available 24/7. Sodas are not free there like .75
Wifi is not free. .we get 2 hours free a week and pay for more. We get free whatsapp but only text no voice or pic. If you are quarantined, you get free wifi, so that's something
Whatsapp at least is something... do supervisors use whatsapp to keep contact? Is it still 70-80 hours a week, 7 days a week for 6 months for kitchen staff or is that a thing of the past?@@kipkey8104

I've growned such an interested in wanting to work unboard a royal caribbean cruise ship, hopefully luck is on my side and i get the opportunity in 2024..❤❤❤❤❤

How much do they charge for ping long and the ATM? Does HR guy share a cabin?
The video forgot to mention one thing. Salary. Cruise ship crews works twice as a hard as an average maritime worker and only earns half as much.
Could the crew have a glass shower doors instead of the curtains that stick to your body on the newer ships. Don't quote me on this but I think the Virgin Voyager ships have that for their crew.

Nothing in life is free unfortunately. We pay for it off the ship. You should pay for it on the ship.

We sure do work you tired good thing you can pay us back some of your limited salary here for coffee
