    I was in a shelter for two months this past summer. I lost my grandma, the depression got to me, my mom unexpectedly moved out and BAM homeless. It really can happen to anyone. Prayers for everyone out in the cold tonight 🙏❤

      j molonoy No, blame the Democrats/liberals. They are the ones that have been in charge of Michigan for the last six or seven decades. They are the ones who voted for NAFTA, and now that all the jobs are gone, they keep voting for liberals who send even more people, Except this time they are illegal migrants who would rather kill us than anything else. I don’t want Michigan to be a lost cause, because I don’t live that far away. But I don’t have a lot of hope.

    You really don't get it. They are home. They have found their own answer to their problem. Their answer is a Libertarian solution. It gives them self empowerment self esteem and makes them feel like whole human beings again, and they remain independent. But we can't have that, nope people out of site out of mind are a problem.
    Just like the great depression with the camps the cities solution to the non problem is always the same break them up and move them along. Do something different for a change leave them alone.

    • @joannamonique707
      @joannamonique707 5 лет назад +2

      The shelter I stayed out had ridiculously stupid curfew rules. You literally couldn't leave unless you had to work or an interview lined up and you had to be in by 10. Even if you had a job. I knew one girl who left simply cuz she got a graveyard shift job and they wouldn't work with her. Not to mention lots of shelters don't have the budget to provide food. No point in staying somewhere if there's no food there and I have to quit the second I get a job. How would that help? Bottom line is money for programs helping homeless people is SCARCE and sometimes its better to stay on the street.

Also, during the winter, they could freeze to death. Many job applications are on line, so they need a library card to use the computer. There is a time limit for the computer. Let the public start digging in all the news anchor life and start reporting what they do on their free time where they go with family out to dine and where they go grocery shopping and on what day.I bet there will smoke spicy stuff we find! I posit the city should leave them alone. As for crime it should be dealt with just like crime anywhere else -- those who commit violent crime when applicable should be arrested and those that don't should be left alone. As for going potty in the river/lake that should be prohibited and penalties such as short-term misdemeanor jailing for those who break the rule enforced. I'm sure park bathroom facilities or camp potty facilities could be built in there for the residents -- they'd have to share and the city may have to maintain the bathrooms like it does for parks, but so be it --- if they can do it for public parks they should do it for camps like this... Etc. Swimming in the water should be left alone -- just install park bathrooms for the potty issue.

    • @SereenaNightshade
      @SereenaNightshade 9 лет назад

      Tao A'the Of course companies that pollute should be fined. I agree with that and always have though good luck enforcing it as they cover up what they do and most people won't help you enforce rules upon them. I see you reason why you should go to the bathroom in the water though. Unless you have half dead sick and can't get out of the water in time there is no reason for you to use the water as a bathroom.

    Wagon, tent or trailer born,
    Last month, last year or in far off days.
    Born here or a thousand miles away
    There's always men nearby who say
    Would you mind being born, someplace else?
    Move along, get along, move along, get along. Go, move, shift.

    Make affordable housing this is the answer and more jobs.

    • @crackerpantsbingo6390
      @crackerpantsbingo6390 7 лет назад

      That's easy for you to say. Do you know what affordable housing is? Affordable housing is subsidized by the government. The government will tax the people who are working more so the homeless/poverty stricken can live in the houses and also have their utilities paid. More jobs? Everyone here wants cheap stuff, so now all the jobs are overseas (in China), which is why China is now a prosperous society.
