It's been more than a year since I learnt full-stack web development, have a wide portfolio. did some freelance web development, but that's about it. can't get a single response for a full-time job. I am at a point where I have full confidence that I can handle whatever a job throws at me. I can learn any new programming language and framework for the sake of the job. but no one gives you a chance when you have no degree or connections. I just apply to jobs and get auto rejections.
i never heard of someone gettig arrested or going to court for lying to apply for a job unless youre lying about identity. or if its a government job like the military @@purplevanilla
You can only get in trouble if you lie about credentials i.e certs or degrees that are accredited. Everything else is free game. I used to work for a company that would train Android developers and fabricate resumes for you and get you high end jobs and just got a percentage of your pay.

and also different country has different job requirements, in indonesia is much harder to get software engineer jobdesk, cause you are required to have a IT degree, if you dont have it, atleast you already skilled enough to be full stack + computer science, else, just create your own platform like individual application (web, mobile, server, etc)
Ayo I started programming in scratch junior when I was six and Im now 14 And Im a happy middle level kinda dev freelancer that works for himself, I dont agree with six months! It absolutely depends on where you start, how you start and do u even have a talent in it, I happily had talent so I kept up without givin up and started in scratch jr and im a java, C# developer right now.
Hello. I started programming at 12 and now I’m 15. Diving into a web developer’s journey. I want to talk more with you about that. Have you a social media that we can talk?
It took me a year to learn front-end and make 4 pet-projects. This time includes: html, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, Typescript, React, Jest. I still can't find a job though. Everyone wants experience, so in overall, it can take much longer.
Sounds like you're doing something wrong honestly. A strong portfolio would get you in the door even without "experience ". Learning to code is one thing but you actually need to build stuff to separate yourself from every other random bootcamp grad.
The major challenge and hurdle for beginner programmers is mastering loops iterating through an array or statements. I think if one is great at math it's easy, but for most, it's a struggle.
Just loops in general are difficult to master. Experienced programmers can easily generate/devise loops to execute statements or iterate through strings and integers placed in a array or arrays.
And you need to build some stuff. Not just anything, stuff you’re passionate about. You like math, build an app that teaches a child there abc’s etc. Nonetheless build stuff. 2nd make mistakes! If you’re not failing you’re not pushing your limits, that means you’re not learning. Memorizing will only get you so far. Third, teach others. This will come later, but this will solidify what you know. Happy Coding!
Can you learn to program in six months? Sure. Can you get a job programming? Maybe. But there are 6,000 applicants per job, and a lot of them have a lot more experience than you. I learned that the hard way after spending a year learning to code, building projects, making connections, doing everything you're supposed to do. People with masters of computer science degrees aren't getting hired right now.
@@TechWithTim yea you’re right I didn’t realize that I thought you had to pay Quick question, this program seems pretty quick, is this something you’re suggesting would take 6 months? Or your program just a foundation / tutorial to get someone started and then they’d study something else for a few months after?
So nice of you to give the topics of your course without saying people have to buy it!! Thank you ☺️
Took me about a year to actually feel like a developer. It took me 4 months to land an “apprentice” job that got converted full time 🙂
What developer you are?

In most countries it was like this until post 2015.
almost 6 years, doing a thing like once a month (but watching programing video the the other day)
i did the basics of javascript on freecodecamp in like 4 days how are you un employed after 6 year

Its been 5 years and no sign of Proudly Saying Myself A Software Developer
What kinda concepts did you manage to learn in that time?
You have to have some pretty serious knowledge after 5 years, don't underestimate yourself.
Its been 2 months learning python the more i learn new stuff, i forget the basic commands studied earlier

That's usually the time frame I hear from people.
So how long did it take you to be completely proficient in 1 language?

Basically it comes down to how smart and motivated you are.

U talking about mastering numpy arrays for AI and stuff?
Just loops in general are difficult to master. Experienced programmers can easily generate/devise loops to execute statements or iterate through strings and integers placed in a array or arrays.
Loops are easy just do a lot of practice questions

it took me 3 years
It took me 5… that said, my workplace hired 6 people off a boot camp so, luck is everything I guess
Tim, how likely is it that you played Aethelwold in Last Kingdom? 😁

Hi tim, how can I contact you ?
Is that 6 months, studying full time as a self taught developer? Or is that 6 months studying after a full time job?
I imagine full time studying, no way you can learn in 6 months after work. Unless of course you already have expertise in some close field.
Do you really know what it takes? You took a sort of backdoor approach.
I'm learning assemble as my fist language
Took the route of a coding bootcamp and it made things so much easier.

6 months? Lmao. Maybe after 6 months of full-time working on projects, you can get an unpaid internship
I have to agree with you. Unless someone is binging adderall for 15hr/day sessions for the 6 months.
I think I am dumb person, can I be a software engineer?
that's really depends on how correct you are.
beards looks good on you hehe

I would say he give a decent amount of his knowledge for free in his videos
6 months to become a SD 😂
