With those 2 gpu's getting 4 or 5 fps on epic cause they have 6gb of ram 5060 looks like a very short lived investment if it will have only 8gb of ram, better just get the 4060 with 16gb of ram instead and still be able to play pc games in the future at low settings or fps.

I think it was disabled on the others as well however as a 1060 owner I can tell you that it works ok even on high setting if you set shadows to low to save up ram. The stutter in high and epic settings on the 1060 and 2060 is only happening because they have 6gb of ram instead of 8 and there is a lot of memory swapping happening over the pci-e from ram to graphics card memory.

6fps is an vram issue and when you start the game you don’t have this problem, but after some times and in some locations you will get this issue. So, I have 4060 laptop and I can play about 30-60 minutes before vram have become to be an issue

I bought 3060 at the same price of 4060 and though that 12GB VRAM would be future proof but now I realise 8GB is fine for 1080p max gaming 😢 and now lose 10-20 extra fps and DLSS 3 FG although currently I'm using FSR 3 FG mod it also looks and works fine

playing in 1080p is so PS3 (2006) , that it hurts when people talk about it using discrete cards in 2024. In 2024 every single game should be playable (60 fps or more) at very high 1440p with a mid end card and 4K with a high end card, let alone lower settings.

Yeah, you definitely don't remember things right. A vast majority of cross-platform games ran at 720p or lower at dogshit quality for the vast majority of PS3 lifespan. Only exclusives managed to run somewhat decently at 1080p and there weren't that many of them. Out of all games I played on PS3, only Wipeout HD/Fury and GT6 ran at proper 1080/60 but that wasn't a common thing, that was more of an EXCEPTION.

I have 144fps in all these games(1080p): World of Warcraft, World of Tanks, World of Warships, CS2, DOTA2. Question. Why do I need to upgrade my GPU to play a single player game with no optimization ?
If you wanna play new unreal engine games, single or online you will need to. IF you want 500hz on comp games you also will need to (don't ask why). Probably 7800xt would be enough to paly most of the games on 60 fps with some settings tune.

All tests + gamer nexus and hardware unboxes so on, checked the perf and without unlocking the power limit 14900k won't stay on max boost, not even mentioning overclocking. Here comes the reason why intel did their cryo cooling for cpus cause it's hard to keep them cool in full perf mode (no limits max turbo boost on all cores (stable) and ram boost, at least writing in 100gb with proper ram, so for workloads really good one). If the game can't utilize 24 cores it doesn't mean that it can't use them all, for example making core 16 and 24 to interchange itself on task switching, so it could be 10loaded and 14 in 1-10% load peaks, it would eventually add up to real full TDP overall
I am not saying that amd is performing really good in these scene. In most tests except this guy they probably use better cooling or tune it, but overall amd doesn't have e cores so of course in terms of not optimized games it can suck with power consumption, but as for tests in this game i checked 14900 13900 also uses 125+min.

People calling 4060 a crap card. Actually 3060 is crap. If you see the power consumption of 2060 vs 3060 they are quite similar. The fps gain is also nothing to speak about. When you look at 4060 power consumption, the amount of frames it puts out is very good.
The last BIG performance liftin the 60 series was between the 1060 and the 2060. From then on it's been just ~20% average gains from 2060 to 3060, and then from 3060 to 4060. So, it's impressive -- until you consider the context.

No, it's a new patch that fixed the performance for 8GB VRAM cards.

More VRAM doesn't mean anything if the GPU is slower. You should have got a 4070, 3080 or 7700XT if you don't mind AMD.
