- How To Measure Fetal Biparietal Diameter On Ultrasound | BPD Measurements | Biometric Parameters USG
- Obtain a mid-sagittal view of the fetal head, then rotate the transducer 90 degrees to achieve an axial (transverse) plane at the level of the thalami and cavum septum pellucidum.
- Landmarks: The ideal plane for BPD measurement will have: The midline falx, both thalami, cavum septum pellucidum, and symmetrical shape of the head.
- Calipers are placed on the outer aspect of the near parietal bone and on the inner aspect of the far parietal bone.
Repeat the measurement a few times to ensure consistency.

Hi sir.. I had my 29 week ultrasound but the result was Bpd 68mm and hc 240.43mm it's normal or not plzz reply sir plzzzzz.....
Hello. BPD and HC values can vary widely amongst different populations. If the measurements are correlating to the gestational age of 29 weeks then they are normal
