sir, turbidostat me bhi agr flow rate kam ki jaye indirectly hum C aur N ka flow kam kar rahe hai wo bhi limiting nutrient hee ban jayega toh difference kya hai?
it does not matter even if it becomes a limiting nutrient, all we want is constant cell concentration. we will do any changes that is required to maintain that constant cell mass concentration and hence turbidity in turbidostat....................whereas in chemostat all we want is constant flow rate no matter whether cell mass concentration is increasing or decreasing.
also if we want to remove excess cells then we might increase the flow rate so that dilution rate becomes more than critical dilution rate and hence washout can occur !!
