I had this SAME situation 30 years ago. When I first moved in the complex she wouldn't give me the time of day but she did speak in passing. We did become friendly-er to each others time passed but one day I saw her in the common area almost crying. She told me why then hit me up with the same proposition. After a little more talk and reinforcing the "friends with benefits" rules & "arrangement withOUT detainment", we came to an agreement. Rent waa do for her in two days and I'd be spending the night the night before. She had a boyfriend but he was a punk from what I saw. The arrangement got so messy that she kicked her dude to the curb and we started being in each others' crib daily. Then I found out why...actually I knew after our first night together. She was HOOKED.....,but she had a career. This "arrangement" lasted about 18 months until she got a job offer in New York. She once flew me out for a wild weekend and to show me off to her new girlfriends but I never went back. We're still friends (no benefits) til this day. Even one of her kids has my middle name as his first. Best contract ever.
