If I was in a horror movie I’d want this guy on my team but I know for sure I’d be used as a sacrifice to help him survive

Especially considering the dad showed them about it in the first place!
Feels great to see that changes in the ending
And the best parts is when they get terrified
Then when the parents are confronted with said issue..they always say " I'm so sorry I should of believed you!!." ..and then they want to take over and come up with a plan. Like hell no I been doing this myself while you thinking I was crazy and people were dying.

Easy solution. Call your grandparents and tell them your folks are doing the challenge so they get angry/worried at THEM.
plot twist: the grandparents also cause a demon to be summoned so you have to resurect your great grandparents to get mad at them

The creature appearantly not only made parents hysterical, but also killed their reasonable thinking. When numerous children are afraid, report the same incident and get physically injured, either suddenly every teenager in town has developed extreme schizophrenia, or it is an external factor.
Exactly this was so frustrating. What did they think; suddenly every kid in town developed an extreme self harm disorder?
Yeah this is one of the first horror movies where terrible decisions can be explained by the fact that the monster has the power to make people stupid
Well, to be fair, there has been some dumb challenges before, but the whole seeing the Same monster is some damning evidence, if not a monster, a deranged psychopath in a costume is hurting kids

You have to much faith in people
The parents think the kids are doing a challenge and hurting themselves so it's not as convincing as you would think. However, it's very infuriating that the parents don't believe that something might be trying to hurt the kids when the kids say there's something after them.
you are more likely wrong - unfortunatelly. I dont know if it was in your country too, but in my (central europe) - there was this huge internet hoax called "blue whale" every single parent bought without second thought. It claimed to be challenge that makes kids sommit self deletion. Every kid/teenager was able to find out in minutes how it is juse some fake BS - but every parent went into moral panic all over internet and similar thing happened in some cases with confiscating phones and acces to the internet.
The most unbelievable part of this movie is that her mom had the strength to break a car window with her bare fist unintentionally.
Maybe that’s just how American windows are, I mean Americans can punch a hole in their walls, so it really is like cardboard huh and hollow too?

So first of all about the propofol idea: It is unlikely to work. You can't just stab someone with a propofol syringe, you'd need to hit a vein and slowely inject it, which is unlikely to be a possibility, given the situation. And even then, it is dangerous and might cause death.
And as for the muscle relaxant: Even if you manage to get it into a vein, it is actually counterproductive, as it will lead to respiratory depression and death.
So yea, do not try and stab people with syringes, it only works in movies.

The lesson isn't "ur parents r wrong even when they think they're right." its "parents are most dangerous when they're wrong and think they're right."
I took it as "Being a helicopter parent is much more harmful than good to your kids" which, at least from my limited observations of friends, has been true.

Faking compliance, gaslighting, giving the illusion of control... It's sad how effective those techniques are when dealing with bad parenting. I used those for years on my parents to escape their toxic attempts at controlling everything about me. To this day, they don't know anything about me or my life. They don't even know I once tried to do the unthinkable or that I've been depressed since 12 years old. Parents can be so despaired for control, but in the end all they achieve is driving their children away.
That was actually a lot more interesting and enjoyable than i thought a creepy pasta based horror film would be. The way it worked was unexpected and while most of the movie involved frustrating interactions with adults, the moment each parent stepped up and did what was necessary made for a satisfying ending.
out of curiosity, did everyone forget that there's this cool thing called flour that works really well against fictional invisible creatures which have to interact with the physical world??

Also when he says that we could lure the creature into a crowded area, earlier in the movie it shiws that instead of a knife in thin air cutting the girl it shows her holding the knife against herself so it could probably make it seem like the kid is hurting themselves

I would've done the same thing too; if it was interacting with the physical world, I would've hoped on it in front of other people, and they hopefully, would be amazed that I was floating on something only I could see. I think the notion of thinking how it could affect others, would be hard to realistically think about if it was coming after me atm, but if it was in front of people, it would be cool to have some kind of physical interaction with it. I think if it wasn't there, than I'd honestly just check myself in for psychosis. I dont think its anything to joke about and have read and seen stories of people who live with those symptoms, but the craziest cases; have had people feeling things, as opposed to hearing or seeing things, which I send out blessings and good intent to, cause that's really sad to hear people going through something like that
to be honest, I like the general concept of the movie. the grimcutty doesn't feed off the fright of his victims, but off the fright the beloved ones feel for the victims. that's one cool and clever thing since it complicates the ways of how to beat the demon. I like the movie.
That's a great twist honestly.
I enjoy how accurate this movie sees parents reaction to things like these even if they are real and not. Also the fact that you can gas light your parents to control a demon is both interesting and hilarious
Idk what parents are like where you are from, but I found this movie to be grossly inaccurate. A classic "the adults are stupid or unreasonable and only kids aren't" turned up to eleven. Very brick-in-your-face approach. It almost feels like it was directed by a kid or an adult trying to hook impressionable kids on the movie. Parents and adults can be dumb and unreasonable but at a certain point, even they aren't as stupid as the adults in this movie. Granted, it's a plot thing, but this movie feels more like it's rage bait for/pandering to kids.

This video was posted during my early recovery period after I went to the hospital for jaw surgery and I just got to watching it today and it was very calm and relaxing and really made me feel good during my recovery period...so thank you.
Great video, personally after I saw the GrimCutty, and noticed that my parents aren't on my side that it exists, then I would take an opportunity that would leave me in a position where I win or I win, I stay around my parents as much as humanly possible, possibly even asking if she can sleep in their room with them, and either the GrimCutty decides not to reveal itself by having a person getting strangled by thin air, or it does and my parents are likely to believe me.
And you’d also survive bc your parents wouldn’t be scared about where you were
that thing walking through that door is STRAIGHT out of my nightmares. honestly i havent seen horror that resonated with me this well for a long time. its so blatantly scary, like its not like every horror thing where its trying to do something that is likely to exist but still a bit scary, this is straight up just a scary monster. love it.

This sounds like the Momo thing were children were actually hurting themselves, animals, or even their parents because of it thinking they would die if they didn’t do what it said, pretty messed up and idk if the guy got caught or not but it was around 4-5 years ago.
That never happened, it was literally just a jumpscare in some kids videos.

Another way you could beat pretty much every monster is simple: Tell your friends/parents about not the creature, but a hooded person or somebody in a disguise that way they will believe you that someone is there, then you can start thinking of tactics to tell them what it really is.
This movie gave me a similar feeling to “It Follows” this sorta stuff genuinely scares me. Just the idea that there’s something that’s hunting you constantly and there’s little you can do to stop it (aside from their own individual conditions but still).
Only big difference is that in "it follows" there's a line of targets like final destination that must be completed (no skips) before going to the next target while in this there can be tons of targets

Pretty insane idea,but what if you go to your parents ,agitate them and cause the grimcutty to appear and when it slashes at you,you try to block the knife with a part of your body so that it's non lethal. If your parents see you suddenly get a knife wound while having their eyes on you,they might believe you
But it might make the worried which would make the creature stronger
But in some scenes the grumcutty made the victims cut themselves so it looks like self harm

Ive just recently started becoming afraid of faces with super stretched smiles and enlongated eyes like this monster, and that one girl that was in those kids videos a few years ago. That blue fuzzy guy from that one game that takes place in a toy factory. Like people figured out that people, me included are afraid of uncanny human faces.

On a serious note, this movie actually does teach you a valuable lesson. Even when your parents think they're right... *they're not.*
It depends there are too many variable too even say for anyone else. Like if they don't take care of you, I wouldn't trust em. If you or they have more knowledge in the subject. If they have something medically wrong with them, etc.
That wasn’t the lesson, the lesson was being overprotective is more harmful for your children than good and prevents positive growth. Having insanely strict parents or ones with absurd rules can leave a child feeling unheard or neglected and in some cases can lead to self harm (which is already heavily implied in the movie as most of the grimcutty injuries are cuts on the wrists or thighs)

on part of 'only knowing after parents mention' it reminds me of a brazilian death challange called "blue whale" in which people recived these sets of challanges that would usually be harmfull or deadly, i was like 6 or something when my mom mentioned to me and made me promise i would never do it, like mom, im a child, i didnt even know what that was untill you said it to me.
i dont remember seeing a head line like:6 adolescents were found dead at their houses after doing the blue whale challange, sooo now my mind thinks that this movie was inspiered by this challenge
I like how this whole thing starts as parents worried about kids doing this challenge to attack their parents then one of his solutions to stop the monster is attack your parents

I adore this movie honestly. Not because itvs good, heavens no, it's yet another bad horror movie to throw in the fire, but I love it purely because of the Grimcutty himself
His stupid design, his body proportions like he's Gru in a halloween mask, his stupid waddle he does when he chases people, I legitimately laughed whenever he showed up onscreen. My favourite part is definitely when he appears under the table when the girl amd the dad are fighting over her phone, I just find it funny to think about how he had to slowly shuffle under the table to be in the right position just to scare a girl one time. Now THAT'S effort
I also love that he at some point gets bored of stabbing people and instead starts lifting people in the air but only when there's someone conveniently there to watch him do it
8/10, probably my favourite comedy of 2022

yea but the grimcutty is also stupid and not smart think about pennywise, he only appears to the victims as children and feed off their fear and can actually come back when everyones older thats what i call a good evil supervillian entity the grimcutty seems more like a pyscho troller feeding off parents anger to harm and torment the children more than the parents did along with chasing and stabbing/slicing kids with a knife so i give it a 1/10 for a dumb villain 3/10 for the horror and 9/10 for the comedy
Isn't this just a movie about momo but pretending not to be. The challenge in the movie is like the momo challenge. The difference is the momo challenges threatens to kill you or your whole family if you don't (and more threats but thats the only one i know)

Honestly, I LOVE the Grimcutty’s design! I kept stopping the video and thinking “damn, that looks cool!” I might have to check this one out
Okay, so I’ve seen the movie now. It’s not the best, a couple of characters were there that really didn’t need to be, and the whole plot (at least, the way I understood it) was based on a plot hole. (If you think seeing the Grimcutty would make your children hurt themselves, why would you turn around and show them a picture of it?) It’s far from the worst movie I’ve seen though and I still love the Grimcutty’s design
Forgot to mention, I also really like the message of it, that worrying about your kids too much can hurt them more than the boogeymen you make up can
The design is cool but it looks kinda goofy like a cartoon character with those long arms, long legs, weird shoes, wide face.

This movie is so odd, it looks like a low budget horror movie, but yet the Grimcutty looks like it’s made from a mix of high quality CGI and live actors.
They already think you are a danger to yourself. If you use that to convince them to place you on 24 hour watch via camera, you'll only have to survive one attack before they believe you.
Ngl if a monster like that comes to me I'm gonna die from laughter cuz he looks hella goofy and funn looking .

Well it appears to take damage, meaning it's not invulnerable. So it may just have a raid boss health bar. So I would probably beat it by casually whittling it down and reminding it who's the alpha in this scenario.

The parents in the movie the grimcutty say that they are not going to do a grimcutty challenge unaware that showing their children the picture of the grimcutty and taking away their children way of learning more about the grimcutty is secretly away of starting the challenge and the grimcutty also feeds off of the adult fears and paranoia and also the police are useless in situations like the one in this video

If she had shown the Grimcutty picture to the Grimcutty itself the first time it appeared, all of this wouldnt have happened because he would hunt itself to death.
I beliebe it's really hard for her to realize that first try, but maybe after she learns more about it she would actually know what to do. And test that theory.

it only attacks if a parent or guardian is being hysterical and there is nothing in this movie showing a parental figure anywhere in this movie so I am pretty sure it would fail
what makes this movie horrifying isn’t the monster, but the helplessness of needing the help of a parent who refuses to listen to anything you try to say

I would try to convince the parents that a serial killer is posing as the grimcutty and that you've been attacked by the poser. This might convince them to give her her phone back at least for safety. And they'd be too afraid to lock up your phone on the slim chance you're telling the truth. You have to instill some sort of doubt into them.
This is less convincing then just earnestly pleading to your parents that it’s real 😂
Honestly when the cop asked me at the start, I would have just said it looked like they were wearing a mask that was similar to that image. But not sure if it was 100%.
@@texasred5250 I only say this because earnestly pleading did not work whatsoever. The whole movie the daughter was earnestly pleading and that did not work whatsoever. The mom had to see the little boy lifted into the air for her to even believe because she thought her daughter was lying the whole time. The mom had gone to check in house after the daughter finally said something grounded in reality. That mom has her son locked up in a room. Nothing supernatural about that and that caused the mom to worry. Grounding the supernatural danger as an actual danger the parents can understand will make them think that you're more likely telling the truth despite the fact that you're not. You need to tell them something that they're willing to hear.
Wouldn't that make the parents even more fearful that a serial killer is roaming around the neighborhood making the grimcutty more powerful

I think the reason why they took the phones off them was part of the grimcuttys plan, the grimcutty controlled the parents to show the children the image, which then started the ritual which is how it comes. The reason that the parents took away their devices is because the grimcutty made them to as he is paranormal. I haven’t finished the video but that is just my thoughts.
yeah, i don't know why so many comments are acting like the parents just chose to act this way when its plainly obvious they are being influenced by something. i mean, all of the adults are acting this way, from the parents to the teachers, to the cops, etc, thats just ridiculous. its clear that something is going on and its not just parents not understanding tech and being over protective.

It really is a lousy monster if you can easily scare it off with a kitchen knife swipe.
And now all the families that went through this will never be allowed to doubt or question their children ever again, because it'll immediately be countered with "Hey Mom/Dad remember when you nearly got me killed by being distrustful nutjobs? Or "remember when you automatically assumed I'd sliced myself up rather than believe me about being attacked?"

Even though other people couldn't see it, it seems to me that they should still be able to feel it. We know its maneuverability is bound by physical objects, and people are physical, so at the very least, it would also be obstructed by a person standing in its way. If we could just get them to reach out and try to touch it when it's near, it would help us prove that something really is there. It doesn't seem to have crazy fast reflexes either. Worth a shot

A good strategy would be to lead it into an well lit area with other people and hit it with anything that would outline its physical form. At worst, there should be plenty of pens around whose cartridges might be snapped or cut in a pinch to provide pigment.

like in the movie US, in the scene where the boy walks backwards to get his clone to walk into the fire without being able to stop himself, she should try doing that here, see how smart the monster is, if it's dumb and just follows her wherever, well then after realizing the monster can bleed and it's scared of getting hurt in the scene where it grabs her in the bathroom, then she should try like setting up a tripwire trap with some sort of explosive or other type of trap connected to it and just wait for the monster to appear and make it follow u into the trap
