I can relate more with Faye. Losing your younger version is like a part of you dying. You don't feel it or remember it until you look at photos or videos of your childhood to remind yourself of who you were. The pain is difficult to describe but like Faye I weeped. It's more tragic cause she lost her memory and any innocence because of the debt she now owes. 😔
I look at this and kind of think about both adult Fayes. They aren't that far away in age (compared to the child form), but it gives to how much there was to her after she got out of the cryogenic pod; she was probably still hopeful with whatever innocence was left and lost it all when, out of nowhere, she started to get buried in debt. And they aren't that far away from each other, compared to their 12, maybe 13, year old self, even after being frozen for 50 years; that what makes it sadder is that herself first waking up after everyone she knows is most likely gone and didn't turn out to have a life she expected. Now cynical, desperate, arrogant, pessimistic, angry, and probably depressed, after everything to get by, and all of that started only three years ago for her. Sorry, didn't mean to ramble, but it makes me think a lot since seeing one of my favorite episodes of the series, even thinking about how other people's pasts (including my own) are in grand scheme.
