i love you for scraping the sides of the cup after you put in the oil lol. a lot of people don't and they just set the cup to the side right away. it drives me nuts knowing that there's product being wasted!! lol thanks for sharing :)
Hello, thank you so much for sharing this lovely video. I had a great success last week, but I am in the hot climate of India and I think my oil had to be adjusted as it was very soft and sticky so I think I should just melt the others and increase the BVX, I’m sure there are better ways and colorful for you to do the packing. Have you considered small boxes, especially for shipping where they can store the lotion bar and it does not lose its fragrance. I have also seen lotion bars wrapped up in cotton muslin & put in a bamboo/ wooden box. I guess costing will go up with the weight and the dispatch options. Wishing you all the very best. Stay blessed. I have learned a lot from your video.
Just for yourself & everyone else, the only Soy Wax That can be used in Skincare is Ecosoya Q210 it’s Been Dermatology Tested Safe for All Skin Types. I use both in mine. Yours sound very nourishing. Thank You for sharing 😊 I personally prefer the double boiler method
Thank you for this video, is the carrot powder oil soluble? otherwise how can it penetrate into the skin…? dont you need tocopherol as an antioxidant? 😊
Thank you. Very informative. Can you please let me know where you purchased you 2.5 cutter. I purchased one from Amazon and it dis not make a clean cut.
I put my lotion bars in little rectangular containers that I got from Dollar Tree 10 of them for a dollar in a quarter they way out to be about 2 oz and then I use a label maker to print up my labels and put them on the base of the container that way if they get the lids mixed up it doesn't make any difference they know what's in the container a lot less trouble a lot needer
Hi thanks for this video. Very informative. I wonder if arrowroot powder would cut down on the greasy feel.... have you experimented with that if so how was it?
Thanks for showing us how to make these. Cute packaging too. Did you formulate these yourself? How did you learn how to do this? Are there any books you would recommend?
Thank you! I put mine on pretty soap dishes and display them in my bathroom. You could slice a little piece off to carry with you. But, I am not sure how I would wrap it.
You could cut a piece off and put in one of the 2 oz plastic containers found in Dollar Tree or Family Dollar. That is what I put my lotion bars in and works great
Is it okay to use all Shea butter in place of Cocoa butter, or should I always use both types of butters together? Also, does baby oil work well for the oil?
Hi, yes, I only ship these and products like these on Mondays and Wednesdays. I use priority 2 day shipping so they don't sit too long in warehouses where they can overheat. I never do ground shipping with these either because it takes too long and the chance of them getting damaged is much higher.
Lacreshea Cox thanks so much!! You can get those giant bottles at Brambleberry or nature’s garden. They are seven pounds. Although I buy it now in 5 gallon buckets and just refill the jugs 😆
Neonlights yes, I would use a preservative best suited for lotions. I like optiphen in my lotion based products because it is paraben free. There are a few different optiohens on the market, make sure you read the recommended use before you purchase it so your getting the right one. I use glycerine for added moisture and pliability, but it’s not a preservative
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany i was reading you dont need a preservitave in cold proccess things since mine will be stored in the fridge after use !! Thank you so much for your time and replying !!
On her packaging if she would have aligned the twine up directly over the tape it would have held the tape more securely but as it is the tape is peeling off of the coffee filter it will be flapping in the breeze
Don’t you need to put the grams on the label and your address or website? Could you possibly do a video about the Canada labelling guide for soap. I’ve been looking into it and it’s confusing. Thanks for the great videos, you’re so informative.
This is an informative video but for us beginners it would be helpful to tell people what the amounts of each item are so that we can re-create the recipe. Thanks
You can go to her my patreon page and you can buy exact recipes for a small fee of 5.00.Thats pretty good. Some people sell their recipes up to 50.00.Shes very reasonable, obviously looking at helping everyone whoms on a budget.
Hi there, you can use candelilla wax or skin safe soy wax. candelilla wax is harder than beeswax and soy wax is softer than beeswax, so you will need to play around with percentages.
Very helpful tips.. I use the same mold to make my diy soaps for me and store in a ziploc bag .. but it creates some water droplets in a few days on top of the soap..:( how to avoid this?
It sounds liken you are using a melt and pour base. Try using a low sweat base and spritzing the top with running alcohol. Also they should be shrink wrapped airtight right after unmolding
I love the rose petals I formulated mine in the same molds about 2 yrs. ago using coffee beans. They’re a big hit. I’m going to try the rose to mix it up a bit. Some of the beans float but most will stay at the bottom. Great idea with keeping the petals down by getting them moist first. Your packaging is super cute too
You won't get it all melted down without putting it in the microwave to heat it up some don't let her fool yeah you can do Cocoa butter and shave butter in the microwave it will not hurt them in the least I know this from experience
How come you use bleached Beeswax Pellets? Did you know you can use Ecosoya Q210? I think maybe you should put a warning label on these for buyers whom may be Pregnant, breastfeeding or on certain medication.
Natasha Chillaxing Melts, Candles & Body Products yes, I have used skin safe soy wax for lotion bars in the past. Personally, I prefer the cosmetic grade beeswax. Thanks for your feedback
Processed and dyed beeswax...using a microwave for this project...oh boy. These are really precious oils and butters and putting them in a microwave strips them from all of the properties..
I wondered about the microwaving by all lotion bar and soap makers but I guess it's easier, quicker and less chance to burn than when using a double boiler.
See all the residue she has in the container if she did smaller batches of the bars a smaller size bar she could get a whole another bar out of The Leftovers that she leaves in her original container and on the spatula's and on the spoon she is wasting product
Oh this isn’t a “How to tutorial”, this is a “Watch you make YOUR”. Title is misleading. I’m not looking to watch and not learn anymore then I already knew.

Pretty lotion bar. Nice packaging.
Nice tips. I made origami boxes to put my lotions. And use 2 different colors. Thanks for the idea

If would even a bit or cornastarch....just mix it in while its still hot and stir to rid clumps 👍
What’s the powder you added to oils pls?
She said it was carrot seed powder I believe?
Could u shrinkwrap these in plastic so customers could see them? Would it affect them?
Hi can you use carrot extract
Did you list measurements anywhere? I didn’t hear them nor read them on the screen nor the drop-down.
Does the beeswax help so it doesn't melt when you ship items?
How do these hold up in the hot weather?
Tessie Dobey pretty good they have a high melt point but Extreme heat is an issue, also, if they sit in the sun like at a craft fair they can get soft
Love your videos!
Beautifuly done...can I know the shelf life?
I just love your videos.♥
Joyride thank you!
Beautiful!!!! Do you use equal parts ingredients? Thank you for sharing. Also do the Rose petals turn brown?
Really thought you would show how it dissolves on your skin contact cause I never heard of them.

1 Blended Family thank you! They are very similar to bath melts but bath melts shouldn’t contain beeswax they need to be at a lower melt point
Thank you!!

Donelle Swinney yes! You can sub out the sweet almond oil for any liquid oil like avocado oil, rice bran oil or jojoba.
Beautiful, perfect.
Where do u get such a big bottle of sweet almond oil from? By the way great video

Well, I have never made those, but my initial thought is that you need a preservative because of the introduction to water.
