Good morning Michelle and I hope this reply finds you well. I try to give them all a chance but there is a certain amount of pot luck for the care to be successful. Falling in love, especially with orchids, is a dangerous situation!!!! Ed.
I thought I saw the start of a new growth on the Lycaste, which is good. The bulbs will probably start to shrivel as it gets going but resist the urge to start watering until the first two leaves open, the fastest way to wreck them is to water them too early.
Got my fingers crossed for you!! I repotted 3 the other day that still had the sponge in it. Pretty old plants too. We are starting to warm back up today. Had a surprising 2 days of cold weather with big gusts of wind. I think we will be getting in the 80s this week.(much better!!) Have a good day 😊
Hello Valarie and thanks for crossing your fingers for the progress of these plants,. We've had a cool week around 13c but it's been very sunny so the greenhouse has warmed up during the day. It's not very often i can experience temperatures in the 80's we average out around 22c in the summer months. The temperature during the night tonight is expected to be minus 5c !!! Hope tomorrow is sunny again,.....whatever you are doing enjoy yourself, Ed.
I look forward to the time when I can show you an update on these Sue.....it'll mean that one or two have been successfully reared.....it's as hard as raising children....from what I remember!!! Take care and thank you for your support, Ed.
Good afternoon Ed. It's quite a project you had. I'm sure they will take off in no time under your great care. I'd like to see an update video if you plan to have one done. Have a good evening Ed.
Good evening Catherine and thank you once again for taking a look at my channel. I like projects so i wasn't much of a problem for me....but there again I never have problems ...just solutions!! I will definitely keep you up on the progress of these plants but it will probably be towards the Autumn months,. Thanks again Catherine and take care, Ed
I am truly enjoying your videos Ed, thank you. I love that you give them all a chance to grow and thrive ♥️ I’m new but already in love with orchids.
