You definately had the right tyres, took your time and drove to the conditions, whilst relaxing to music. Thumbs up from me who drives for a living and has also prepared his car for winter conditions.
Pretty well done 👍 As a professional driver I never had the radio on in those kind of conditions. It helped me hear when the wheels started spinning which is one way of getting stuck... The spinning will very fast increase the tyre temperature and create very slippery ice patches under the wheels.
The lack of stuck vehicles helps, you can have 4x4 winter tyres and know how to drive in that sort of weather, but it' means nowt if the road is blocked
Great vid....Whilst being a milkman delivering ..Had winter tyres all round and always if possible drove on fresh snow ..Also used 2nd gear if i hit a incline problem👍
@stephen2649 oh wow that’s nice , thanks for the tips bro Stephen I used to drove Stick shift but I’m driving a automatic transmission now.. Drive safe always🙏🏼
We had hardly any snow here in the WM, so fortunately wasn't any issue getting about. Think it's about time Brits start applying the appropriate tires in these conditions for next time!
Very little traffic about and most of these look like they have motion sensors on top of them so with nothing else coming from the other directions and the dashcammer going so slowly, the system had time to change those other lights to red and those for the dashcammer green before they reached the stop line. If there was more traffic coming from those other directions they would have had to stop.
@pinggoy_888 I thought that with the reflections off a couple of them. :) The thing is motion sensors detect motion by detecting changes in infrared 'light', and they have filters on their lenses for preventing the sensors detecting changes in light from the visible spectrum, it's why motion sensor units seem to have tinted or cloudy lenses to the naked eye, so headlight flashing won't change how fast they respond, (I tried it a couple of times myself with temporary sets at roadworks before I learned this). Many motion sensors detect the IR or 'heat' produced by people's bodies, etc passing by, like the sort that you see being used to activate floodlights or 'security' lights, although a couple of these traffic lights can be seen producing IR 'light' by the dashcam, so they will detect a change in the light reflected back at them to determine if a vehicle is approaching. If visible light like that produced by car headlights or similar could affect the sensors, then you could probably see how a cloud passing over one of the lights would change the amount of light it detects and potentially make the system think a vehicle was approaching when there wasn't.
Where was this filmed please? Hopevyou got there safely. What kind of car do you have?Have yot wnter tyres on? I wonder why the roads aren't gritted after all that's why we pay council tax
I think you're being very optimistic with 10%. I think it would be closer to 1%, potentially including All Season tyres in that group. I think a lot of drivers don't even know different tyre compounds exist.
Looks absolutley terrible.Hope you arrived safley. Why don't the council's grit the roads these days like they used to.Hope you got winter tyres on your car too. Thanks for your video.
@@geoffclarke8934 it’s dangerous now here in our place coz snow now are becoming into black ice and the forecast again for this week is snowing ❄️🌨️❄️🥶😤😢
The only reason it makes travel difficult is people do not know how to drive in snow anymore. Thankfully where I live is higher up than surrounding areas so we get snow alot more so people where I live actually know how to drive in it thankfully.
I'd rather my taxes went towards stuff that is needed, rather than paying a fortune buying and maintaining a fleet of snowplows for the 5 days every 10 years that we get any significant snow!
@pinggoy_888 all seasons are a sensible choice for most drivers in the UK, they help massive in keeping grip in cold weather and being able to traverse the occasional snow is a bonus.

It is dangerous to drive, I arrived at work safely, I have all weather tyre on my car that’s why I managed to drive in this extreme weather❄️🥶🌨️
They most likely do, but grit doesn't stop the snow, so cars don't drive over it and the snow just piles on top.
No snow here in South London. Didn't mind snow when I was younger but don't care much for it now as makes getting around difficult.
