Comic genius I enjoyed as a young man. I actually met Sid on a set years later when I was a police officer. He had just come back from a long “illness” and seemed to have not fully recovered but I was thrilled anyway and said so.
So very cool! Sid Caesar was probably my favourite actor, comedic or otherwise, and one of the very few I would have liked to have met IRL. Be curious to know what he was like. (Always got the impression that he was a bit irascible, but also thoughtful and authentic. . . . lacking the filter that celebrities nowadays all seem to have.) Thanks so much for posting.
thank you isabel for putting these wonderful clips on here !!!!! they are priceless and are a part of comedy that started it all !!!!! thank you so much again !!!!
I completely agree with all the comments above 1000%...can anyone find the song "satisfied".... killer funny!!! A must see!. This show was. ART!! So glad I am not alone in feeling about them the way you do.🤗
Any lesser comedy team would have ended that skit with her saying she forgot to send in the insurance payment. But Sid Caesar knew that would have been anti climactic because what led up to it couldn't get any more hilarious and it would have been too predictable after his big buildup about it - that was the joke. Sid and Imogene - immortal.
The whole register of emotions with a heart warmer end.
A Brilliantly performed Masterpiece of comedy.
Every Saturday, I watched and laugh these two great comedians supported by great writers.
Excellent-Sid Ceasar is fantastic. Good looking man too. Both are great comedians. Thanks for posting.

Mel Brooks talks about this sketch in Judd Apatow's new book. He was one of the writers.

Kidney stew with lobster sauce. LOL!
Sheer brilliance ..
Sid, you don't need to worry about the money. You see there's about $350,000 buried under a big W in Santa rosita.
5:10 The noises Sid makes while he cries are killing me ROTFL
Totally original I love it
I think Carl Reiner used this sketch as the basis for one of his later Dick Van Dyke Show episodes.
The sketch is called "Breaking The News"
R.I.P. Sid

Imogene Coco rocks.
Imogene coca was before Lucille Ball.
