- With the arrival of the 2024 BMW M Ultimate Tour to BMW Durham, they brought the pre-production 2025 BMW X3 M50 xDrive in Frozen Deep Grey with Black M Veganza/Alcantara with Blue Contrast Stitching inside! This vehicle will be in our showroom on August 28th and 29th 2024 for the M Ultimate Tour! I'm liking what I'm seeing so far, can't wait to get a production model to drive it!
Will be available for delivery at the end of October 2024!

love the position of the engine, sitting way back inn the engine bay... this car should have sports car behavior.
I have the LCI X3 M40i... All the design changes seem like cost cutting in the manufacturing process, but yet prices went up. Rear seats no longer recline. Interior door handles appear to be plastic now. Where are the midrange speakers as I'm only seeing the ones in the typical tweeter locations? Are they now 2-way coaxial now? The only way I could see myself trading in for M50 would be if I could get custom order with PDC and a significant discount, and I mean like 8-10% off.
I agree I am not upgrading to this from my LCI if my life depended on it. There is so much cost-cutting in this car. It’s ridiculous. No panoramic roof that retracts… the list goes on. I will not be getting this vehicle with my lease is up next year! This is not a hit I want to see how the sales will be with this one!
The new X3 looks great. Exterior is very beautiful and interior as well. Inside there is quite a lot of plastic but which car does not have plastic nowadays?

hey allen is it just me or the interior is completely plastic? couple of things i noticed , no reclining rear seats, dash and door tops are completely soft touch plastic and no stiched sensatec available? also why does the rear doors have no ambient lighting as well as no ambient lights in the bottle holder area? also no comfort access on rear doors can you confirm please?
Agreed with your point. Also I found the sunroof is static. It can't be opened.
If that sunroof is fixed then this is an automatic no.
You are correct sadly. All these little things made BMW feel premium. The non-opening sunroof I’ll never understand why.
Rear headrests don’t fold forward when not in use anymore either. I liked this feature bc had an unobstructed view out the rear view mirror.

All plastic because people are stupid buying this crap 💩 they keep on cost cutting making it look like a Kia
This is really sad because the interiors of other cars in the segment look a lot more premium. The cost-cutting is really obvious in comparision with the last gen. at least the g60 still has an opening sunroof if you don't option the pano roof.

I have a 24 m40i and it’s 98.5% perfection. The 25’s will be hard to love more.
Why on earth did they go to the handle’s instead of the pull handles? Looks like a door charger.

Thank you for watching! I'm trying to get back to comments but I've got so many to go through, it takes hours and its hard for me to keep up. I mention that drive recorder is in this vehicle in the video and every BMW now has remote engine start since 2022 so I no longer mention it.

I think it looks Fantastic. That color is gorgeous and the headlights and Glowing grill are stunning. I think BMW did an excellent job with the new model.

Awesome new X3…..but BMW has dropped Mineral White Metallic from this new model range…..madness that they retain the totally bland and lifeless Alpine White but drop the metallic variant.
alpine white has a long history in the brand and was originally an ///M colour
Front is nice but reminds me of angry birds. Back is no go for me. Previous gen looked better. But i like the interior. Not really sold on the whole cloth looking dashboard

Hello Allen, how do we keyfob's functions? my 2022 g80 m3cx keyfob start not working as it used to, not open door even I stay close to, can't start car with 3 press anymore, is it battery ran out? keyfob in sleep mode, etc, thanks for your help
sounds like you need a new battery, the life span with all the new technology is roughly 2 years

This vehicle needs an emergency LCI Inside out In less than 24 hours in order for this thing to sell. The sales will be down a couple of margins scratch thatmany margins.

But be honest Allen don’t you think interior is cheap . Everything you touch is plastic what happened to leatherette stiched dash and door tops . Biggest let down is no exhaust on 30 model I can’t upgrade my 22 x3 . Bmw used to be better than Audi and definitely better than merc in this segment. Now it’s sad you either buy a x5 if you want good interior or look else where

Interior is horrid. So much plastic and the ambient lighting is too much. The new SQ5 will definitely be in my consideration over this. I was hopeful for this, but not so much anymore.

I kind of like it. I don't know if the value is there. This specific model is in the $70,000 range and the interior doesn't wow me. The top level GV70 with the red or blue interior is really nice at a little bit of a discount.
if you are going only for design sure, but the drive is also part of the allure
@@AllenBMWDurham Of course, but they could have done more to make the M50 variants special like other brands. It's a hard sell to spend $70,000 and have the same interior as a $55,000 model. The X3 30 is at the top of the class with the updated 48V auto stop/start and port injection.
so so much cheap plastic inside sigh....

I mean, I’m currently in a x340 and was thinking about getting a new one until this came out, now I’m dropping it and going with am340..

Horrible! Looks like the IX and X1 cross. Removing the sunroof that opens. No ambient lighting at the back. It is shorter than the outgoing model! On the 30 they hid the exhaust. I feel the previous G01 X3 is peak BMW! Hope they don’t spoil the X5 in 2027 and make it look horrible like this!
Absolutely I almost cried . You forgot one more thing along with no ambient light In the rear or even the door pocket which they removed in 23 model , they also made the rear seat c pillar plastic which used to be leatherette In the current model everything is fing plastic no stitching on the door tops or dash. They want you to buy fabric . No leather air bag cover on the m sport steering wheel either . Removed comfort access on rear doors . Entire buttons are plastic where they used to be metal including the unlock handle . They absolutely want to cut cost removing all over materials. I want to throw up thinking an x3 30 would cost 80 k before taxes with this plastic garbage. And mind you no more rear tail pipes 😢 common bmw is a bmw for a reason
It looks cheap on the inside especially the backseat!!!!!! The rear styling is OK... not really a fan of the front... The new iDrive kinda saves this car but for the most part not impressed... I Dont like this new gen of BMW & BENZ.... I wonder what Audi is coming with????
Hard pass on the styling. Interior is also starting to remind me of the car manufacturer I left, Mercedes Benz. Wish they'd keep it simple, instead of over styling everything. Like those vent controls! Maybe it will grow on me over the next couple of years though.

I’m losing my current LCI x340i and I care I am definitely not getting this. This is a downgrade a downgrade if I don’t see nothing else I like from BMW in my price range. I will just go to Mercedes and get the GLC 43.. it’s more premium than this x3
Sea of cheap, black, scratchy plastic. No wonder this abomination has had almost all of the Bimmerpost forums slate on it. And understandably so. Look at this design... I mean what on earth were they thinking... and cost cutting galore on the inside. I'm done with BMW after my existing lease ends next year.
My lease ends next year with my LCI X340. I was just an M340 or head over to Mercedes and sacrifice a GLC 43 at least I will have a panoramic roof that operates. The only thing that I would miss is the engine, AND the transmission
Yaa everyone in the bimmer post blogs are pissed off , unless people really stop encouraging this 💩 from a luxury car manufacturer and buy it they will never learn . I don’t mind the screen like others but can’t even digest the amount of plastic this car has and lots of cost cutting. Common Kia is doing better interiors than this . Bmw says I will give you couple candy store lights and cheapen out on everything else

Nooooo.. I knew it. The x3/x4 will all look like this now, esp M version. The older model is still much cooler. This interior is simply unappealing. Exterior is so so
There will be no X3M version. The X3 or 3 M50 and the upcoming iX3 is all you get.
