I’m in my mid forties now, skated since I was ten and it has helped in almost every other aspect of my life. Taught me to get my chin up, teaches you how to deal with fear and anger in a positive way.
I've been skating for about 25 years now, and it's definitely taught me perseverance, especially when things are tough. I think that's why a lot of people can't agree whether it is a sport, an art, a lifestyle, etc... it's a creative outlet that teaches the individual so many life lessons. I know without skating I wouldn't be half the person I am today, and wouldn't know how to deal with obstacles like I do. It's easily one of the best things that's ever happened to me. 🙏🛹❤️
My 6 year old Son has just started skateboarding and so I have been watching things with him Honestly, I never knew or understood it and how dedicated and committed you guys are, with just trying something over and over again Mad respect, modern day gladiators This was a great watch

nah it was sketchy, locked into a 5-0 at first and almost got stuck but forced an unnatural slide then on exit he didn't rotate enough.. it's still sick but all the ones with bails at the bottom looked way better. I was surprised he didn't try to get another one

First legit deck I ever had was a Santa Cruz, back in the early 90’s. I’ve ridden so many different brands over the years, but that first Santa Cruz deck is still my favourite deck I’ve ever skated. I could just land everything on that damned thing. I had an Acme “chains” I tending to land everything on, too. But nothing like that first Santa. I can still see it. Bright red, with like a bird and a kite and some lightning. A weird sky scene battle between the animal and Mother Nature. Nostalgic rant over.

this is why i love skateboarding, everyone has that one trick or something that they are trying to land and its just not clicking and its just them trying over and over and over and its just not working out and then boom you land it, and its just that feeling of landing it is so good. and on top of that most skaters can relate to that feeling because most alot of struggled

i am from the UK and i totally understand the heat in the US. im 35 now and havent been back to illinois since i was 20 and 21. it was like 90+ degrees and that to me was way too fucking hot to skate, i drank gatorade and didnt feel any better, i just felt so drained and helpless i couldnt do shit as im use to skating in the cold and getting warmed up like.
This is why us skateboarders love skating. The love was real in this one.

this is why i love skateboarding, everyone has that one trick or something that they are trying to land and its just not clicking and its just them trying over and over and over and its just not working out and then boom you land it, and its just that feeling of landing it is so good. and on top of that most skaters can relate to that feeling because most alot of struggled

i am from the UK and i totally understand the heat in the US. im 35 now and havent been back to illinois since i was 20 and 21. it was like 90+ degrees and that to me was way too fucking hot to skate, i drank gatorade and didnt feel any better, i just felt so drained and helpless i couldnt do shit as im use to skating in the cold and getting warmed up like.
