Thanks for the trip through Forest Hill Village. I always liked driving through that part of the city but haven’t been that way in years. I’d love a Forest Hill walk go a bit deeper. I remember some twisty streets with some absolutely stunning homes.
I lived on Heath street just where you shot, for a while as a student in the 60s.Mind blowing architecture inside and out.Everything 1900s and like living in a piece of art.Much the same after 50 years. Thanks for the walkthrough... In the winter you can actually see the buildings,in the summer there is no way.
Beautiful community. Grand homes. I hope the stores that seemed to be closed in the village can reopen if and when we ever get back to some sort of normal.
Nice walk Johnny some beautiful homes in that area I don’t think the owner’s will be worrying what the price of a coffee ☕️ is. Stay safe and well. 🚶♀️🇨🇦🚴🚶♀️🏴🚴🥃❤️.
Love your residential walking videos. So much more interesting than the mainstreet walks, all cluttered with the same big chain businesses, even, it appears. Forest Hill Village, that used to be filled with the neatest boutique businesses, bakeries, cafes, and other interesting stores. That's not to say that a look at the overall lay of the land, including the main streets isn't important to get the feel of neighborhoods.
I live not too far (St Clair/Dufferin) but I've never bothered to go to this neighbourhood. I knew it was a rich neighbourhood so that's why I decided to watch. Nice to see how the other side lives. In Manila, my grandmother is wealthy and the houses in affluent neighbourhoods are twice the size of the ones I saw here.
Hey Johnny, really liked this video. This neighborhood kinda reminds of the street where I used to live in 2012. It’s called Highbourne Rd near Oriole Parkway. I stayed there maybe only 6 months..? Wish I could visit there again. At that time I had no idea that it was well-off area (since I’m not from Canada) but now I DO get it after watching your Midtown Toronto videos 😂 I certainly didn’t expect that this video would end at Korean Consulate. I remember I went there only once to vote for Korean National election. I was surprised by the look of the building. I thought it was so nice and too good to be an office. Anyways, thank u again for the video. Your videos make me feel nostalgic about Toronto all the time. Stay safe!
Hey Johnny, I just found your channel like a week ago so it was cool to see this video where you walked right through my neighbourhood! You’re right about the apartments in the area not being too expensive. It’s funny being a regular person paying reasonable rent and then walking down the street and seeing zillion dollar mansions. About the street with the questionable pronunciation, I say Dun-veegan. Is this right? I don’t know. Maybe some other other Forest Hill South dwellers will chime in on this very important matter.
Hello, I really enjoy the tour, I was also there 5days ago doing a quick driving tour.. I also like the content on your channel, I hope you don't mind me following your footstep, you inspire me...
No. Actually, he did not Bucko!. Please get your facts right. He grew up on Eglington in a tiny house ( in the Forest Hill map) his single mother barely could pay rent on. they both struggled until eventually, he helped pay the rent from his Degrassi acting job.
@@Conscious328 his house is on the same street as my mechanic’s shop. He definitely had a nice house in Forest Hill. Maybe not all of his life, but he never started from the bottom.
I recently came through this way on a live stream so that's really what triggered it but I'm sure your suggestion was bouncing around in the back of my mind as well.
There are some jobs that pay way too much for the kind of work it is, and others that are hard work and can pay too little, why some are privileged while others are not appreciated is not really puzzling, but set up this way, it is called corruption, greed, and illegal activities, ask your local MP'S about it, they know plenty, kickbacks, bribes, perks etc
You were standing at the lights on the SW side of Avenue & St. Clair. I could see my building on the N/W side and one building north. "Close but no cigar" lol 😊
I lived in Forest Hill for 20 yrs beautiful area of Toronto, thank you for a lovely stroll ...
I like residential and natural scenery videos, thanks to you for these recording. 🙂
I highly enjoy these residential walks, thanks so much.
The day begins with a walk along Forest Hill. Thanks Johnny, interesting video. Watching Thursday morning.
Good day Johnny. Sitting in my hotel room enjoying a coffee and your video. ( I treated myself to a hotel room for my 66th birthday.)
Hey Arthur, had to say hello. I too, am 66 and staying in a Toronto hotel room. I'm here, enjoying Toronto as a guest cancer patient. :-)
Happy bday!
Hope it works out!
Thanks

Hello Gabriella
Very expensive homes at Forest hill. Thanks for sharing the video Johnny 😷👍
Rusholme drive and old forest hill drive are beautiful!
Indeed they are!
I do enjoy these residential area walks...
The houses on Warren Road....WOW
Nice to see the new build blending with the old.
These homes are elegant and immense. I wonder if any of them put up Christmas displays. They could look amazing. Good walk JS.
Some of them had terrific ones up!
Drake's house at 16:35 (where he grew up). You can see his mom standing outside of it on his video "Started from the bottom" (at the 35 second mark).
Wow great catch! I wish I knew this when I passed by lol
That's the most people I've seen in one of your videos in weeks JS. Thanks for your latest 😉👍🌞.
You're welcome Mike and thanks for being a channel member!

@@MarcoFHQ i read that he and his mom rented out the basement. and that recently an artist renovated the house.
@shmoney vibes that's because it is soft.
I lived at 70 Dunvegan Rd. from 1950 to 1963. It was the Monypenny home.
Like it when you do residential areas. Although Toronto is smaller in area than London it is still good to compare how similar some areas are.
You should do a walk up marlee ave to lawrence where the mall is, it's an interesting area!
Did you do this neighborhood because of my comment a few days ago? Or coincidentally lol. Please also bike or walk York Mills big boy houses!
I recently came through this way on a live stream so that's really what triggered it but I'm sure your suggestion was bouncing around in the back of my mind as well.

Awwww, i use to live at this intersection
You were teaching in korea at the same time as my niece...love the neighborhood walks..
Neat!
Excellent
I like the architecture
Toronto, Canada number one city in the world
Good stuff 👍
Number 1 was the winner!
Wooo thanks for weighing in on it!
Those birds were CHIRPING! around the 3:00 minute mark lmao
No snow in Toronto in the middle of January something to surly enjoy.
The old upscale neighbourhood of Toronto.
Hello Johnny.
Hey, my neighborhood! 👋🏻
Super bro!!!
Oi.jonny.eu.sou.do.brasil.ai.e.lindo
Gordon Lightfoot lived somewhere in Forest Hill. Maybe he still does.
Toronto 👍👍🏼
If I could afford to live there, I wouldn't care what they called it.
