It is unfortunate that Larne got battered by Shamrock Rovers. This shows why you get some experience and be prepared for big games in the Conference League. A good vlog as usual and looking forward to the next one.
Did not expect it to be so easy for rovers. Thought larne were going to put up a bit of a fight. Frankly don't think the gulf is quite as big as what we see here but LOI has largely moved to full-time set-up unlike the NIFL, I believe. Anyway, similar to rovers, important for larne to build on reaching group stages and learn from it.
Dundalk played in the Europa League Twice, Shamrock Rovers played Europa League once and Conference League twice now. Irish clubs from both leagues have met each other in European qualifiers before most recently Linfield V Cork City in 2016/17 Europa League Qualification with Cork winning the tie 2-1.
The talks before the match was because how much the Irish league has changed would the clubs have a good chance competing against LOI Clubs and my god we got the answer last night. Rovers simply too good for us
What about the infamous game between Dundalk and Linfield in the European cup in 1979 at Oriel Park. The return match was moved to Haarlem in the Netherlands. Shamrock rovers also played Linfield in the European cup a few years later.
Sweet Thieves, great upload, really well captured on film, excellent synopsis of the match beforehand. However, I’m absolutely overjoyed that Shamrock gave Larne such a thorough education in the sport. Sadly your club embarrassed our league.
It’s been a good year for both Irish football. But just shows you how good rovers are. They have a good chance against TNS. I say if they win they’ll be at least in the qualifying round

I think you need to be more positive, Larne were up against a team with a lot more experience and better players.
