"Fail-vey" has already said he will be looking to the trade market for the second year in a row due to payroll constraints put on the team by the Pohlad's, there will be no significant free agent signings.
Rizzo, Gallo, & Sano are all the same type of hitter that pitchers have the book on who could not adjust. Wallner & Julien fit into the same mold. Hope Wallner has adjusted somewhat but Julien has not. I doubt that he will & if he does I doubt he'll come close to his HR total.
Thats a whole lot of ifs for a franchise that has relied on those for 20 years now and it almost never pans out, oh i paused literally 1 second too soon. 😅 but the point still remains
You make it seem like Paddock and Vasquez are these great players that every team will be knocking down the Twins door to get them. I don't see them getting much for either one of them.
FA is a lost cause, especially because of our budget crunch. Falvey loves FA because he thinks that #1 throwing money at a problem, it will go away. #2 he can continue to hoard prospects. #3 he really sucks at initiating essential trades.
Severino as in the 4 spot if the rotation would be awesome all due respect to Festa and Matthew's probably best if they are depth guys that start in st Paul. They just aren't consistent enough to be mlb starters yet which is fine . Gotta feeling they don't do much in free agency probably the yearly dart throw on a a bounce back candidate and of course a bad reliever who they can try to fix . Unless they trade Castro and one of paddack,Vasquez they don't have the budget
Team needs to rebuild let’s be realistic for the first time in years there’s no hope, no urgency, & the front office / ownership not caring trickled down to the players after the deadline this year. So make the farm top 5 if possible before selling the team that makes the most sense. Twins will not go after anyone this year of future significance maybe just a couple stop gap guys. But I’m a die hard Twins fan watch damn near every game & I’m ready for them to fully rebuild this team can never stay healthy. Resign Castro build around him a cheap guy who’s one of the best utility guys in the show.. who’s 26 years old there’s a good start it’s not rocket science.. for the first time in my 30 years of life I’m fed up with this franchise.
Willi Castro will make around 6.2 million this year in his last year of arbitration before reaching free agency. Castro will make between 10 - 12 million on any contract currently (AAV). You're right about rebuilding, Castro has surplus trade value who would bring in a decent prospect or two. You build teams around players who are under control before arbitration, I've been a Twins fan for 40 years of my life.
@@benjames4502 I really love Castros game all around he plays beautiful baseball. I see a much better switch hitting version of Eddie Rosario in him that is more patient & can play all over the field literally. & he can steal bases something this team can’t do very well. I think Castros is the type of player who’s gonna keep getting better into his early 30s. I think he has a good 4 to 5 years of his best years of really valuable production left. & I think he’s a great club house guy I would resign him now instead of taking him to arbitration for the 6 million. I think he’s underrated cuz the numbers are not eye popping yet. If he stays healthy I think he has a breakout contract year I can see it coming. I think the Twins could make it happen this offseason for something around 5 years at 9 or 10 a year or 4 with a player option if they really wanted to turn things back around & be serious go talk to him. I would also trade Royce Lewis the twins just went through a decade of hoping Buxton would stay healthy we can’t do that again cuz if Royce can’t which he has shown plenty of signs he can’t stay healthy we will be damn near 2 decades of having our generational star injury prone you can’t do that as a franchise.. the guy still has value get it while it’s there rebuild the right way with the right guys who play the game the right way. I would set the tone this offseason & come up with a real identity & culture.
Yesterday I went to Walmart and saw the bargain dvd bin. And actually in the bin was some free agents labeled Only Twins who really dont want to win a world series!!! Great bargains!!
Keaschall is the 2b of the future, Lee is the 3b of the future. Either put Lewis in LF or DH. Trade Larnach and Julien, trade Paddack, salary dump Valazquez, cut Farmer.
at least 12 teams in baseball can disappear and it would still be a rich team sport that is still watered down with bad talent , and only 7 teams would have enough money to compete for the titles , until the money is split evenly like all good sports do , only a few teams will ever win and most teams will continue to be minor league teams playing in the majors selling their talent to the rich teams that can afford them, giant waste of money to follow this sport unless your team is one of the top ten money franchises . I would rather watch paint dry or worse yet I would rather watch gopher sports
Ahhh, the comforting sound of the hot stove burning to fend off the chill of a cold offseason
Huddle around 🔥
In the twins case it's more of huddling around 1 singular electric burner
@@User-b9q2z More like a hand warmer, or a BIC lighter
Idk but I need my twins show episodes MAN
How hopeless did the creation of this segment bring knowing we aren’t spending anything 😭
Your commentary just shows how many wholes the Twins have on their team.
The Twins won't be signing anyone for 10+ million, you can count on that.
"write that down" lol

Rizzo has never recovered from his concussion, he's no longer an all star.
To be clear: the Padres’ owner was dying from cancer; he passed in ‘23. New ownership is expected to cut back on payroll.

The ‘mystery’ team interested in Soto is rumored to be the Tigers. Don’t think that would happen but it sure would be interesting.
Twins free agents, pitchers recovering from Tommy John, and all hitters / fielders past their prime.

Gotta stop investing in mid 30's players, it is a typical Twins philosophy.
Knew it was Jacque after Phil said mean bat flip.

Severino passed on 20 mil for one season. He is looking for a pay day. Twins should stay away.
Damn... Painful watching them not get Jacque Jones for so long
You guys do realizethe twins are planning on having miranda play 1st base
Miranda is better suited to DH. Rocco likes a good defensive 1B.
Julien at 1b has to be the dumbest thing you’ve ever said Phil. Even worse than your banging the drum for Joey Gallo.

Jose Miranda 1st?

Mathew Boyd? You guys are not serious
Why not? Falvey loves injury prone pitchers.
@@Razorbacks1 And he's a lefty. I'd be ok with the signing as depth starting pitcher/ long man in the bullpen.
I know a gringo pitcher down in Mexico who can still pitch you can get for nexta nothing! 😉
