The only downer was that I honestly didn't get any really good starry nights. The sunsets during my trip tended to cloud over. But it was a trip of a lifetime.

I remember 2 special nights when I was on the island. One was on the full moon and it was incredible. The other one was a night just before I left and there was a power outage so we couldn't see where we were going, it was so dark but full of stars in the sky at the same time. Rapanui is an absolutly fantastic place for stargazing like you mentionned. The picture at 5:36 is incredible (Ahu Akivi). Hi, it’s difficult to say when it will open up. They wanted to open up in February, but local politics shut that option down.i would guess somewhere around august but it’s difficult to know

I am not fluent at all but what I learned I was taught by a local on the island. You are correct there are not many resources...
