Derek Dougan should have been arrested for crimes against hairdressing! Regarding Carlos Babington, he only ever played once more for Argentina after this World Cup as he transferred to West Germany for 4 years and the AFA hardly ever selected players once they had moved abroad. In fact only Fillol, Houseman and Kempes from this squad played in Argentina in 1978.
Like many Argentines, Babington's descended from an English family who emigrated. He actually comes from an illustrious line. One of whom is buried in Westminster Abbey, or somewhere similar.
It certainly didn't help Babington's ambitions as to the national team that he went to SG Wattenscheid 09, who were a second division team at that time, and - I must say - a mediocre one at that. However, he stayed for a few years and has been fondly remembered ever since.

When their programme was over at 27mins, there was another 54 mins to run so when that blooming tc was displayed, was expecting to show something but about 15mins later, it was still there so I just scrolled along the scale to make sure.
