The other day I was thinking “I would have loved to have been in the studio to see how they recorded this record” and then I see this! Perfect! Very much enjoyed this. Shout out to everyone listening to and creating music during the pandemic.
This was so much fun to watch. One thing I've always liked about DSD songs is all the cool audio details and structural aspects that make the songs really interesting. It was cool that Jessica highlighted the bridge. That's my favorite part of the song in the way it builds to a powerful transition to the next part of the song. The descending guitar line through the Whammy in combination with Jessica's vocals in the last part of the bridge is killer. There's an acoustic guitar in there at the end of the bridge? I had no idea. It was also great to hear Jessica's vocals in isolation. Wow!
I love listening to people passionate about what they do, what they know, and how they created their art. I'm not a musician so hearing how you work is fascinating. A new fan
This is great thank you. My favourite track of the year, and it really shows the attention to detail and sonic inventiveness. Great shout outs to Elliot Smith, Radiohead an Avro Part too!
Very cool to hear the breakdown for this song that’s generating so much interest. I actually found DSD and Jessica years ago while looking for other people who played Silvertone Jupiter guitars, since I grew up playing one, and have been a fan ever since. So it’s great to hear that she managed to locate one to use on this track. And I actually got my vinyl of this album in the mail today!
That guitar intro ((vocalized at 2:22) sounded á la Cream (pure as Sunshine...) pure rock and roll. The magic made (in the studio) by (with) the unknown musician (the studio). ¿Isn´t it fun music?. ¡Congrats! Lady Jessica. ¡Too bad! they accept only one like. Running up that (studio) hill.
Oh man, I'd love Jess to produce one of my songs... i watched it all the way, she's crazy good. The basic idea of the song is brilliant and the way they did it and all the small sparksss, it was amazing, love this show, keep it coming!
I love this series. Looks like Lambdas just got more expensive lol. I could listen to that soloed bassline all day. Garrett Gue is such an inventive bass player.
Jessica - you're giving away all those secrets! :') thx I guess - also be it said I consider this one of the most rounded band music recording in years :) I. AM. IN. LOVE. Waiting for the LP being purchasable in Europe. Also - once this Covid madness is over - do play a concert this side of the pond pls :D

I had no idea this show existed. Stumbled onto it looking for more Deep Sea Diver content. KEXP is a gift!
Same.
This song is perfection. Most underrated band of our time.
I love this. I was just listening to this song earlier today. Jessica is super awesome and I’m always glad to hear her insights!
Few are both a talented artist along with being an audio genius like Jessica is

So interesting to break it all down. Love the way she candidly discusses influences and references. Liking DSD is no accident for me.
What an awesome insight into an amazing track !!!!
I feel so inspired .... thanks

39:30 You not only inspire musicians. You inspire painters, too. Well, this painter.
This album's production really grabbed my attention as so damned good, especially the drum & bass relative to other bands. Cool to find this.

Fantastic!
Jessica becomes Josh Smith with Sovtek but with Lambda.
18:00 a subconscious Radiohead reference? ;)
Jessica Dobson might be the most interesting person in the world.
This is some good content. Shopping next, please?

I honest to God thought I was watching Vice, at first
While i love her, the band, the songs, the vocals, and the ideas, her guitar tones are too messy for my ear, but hey, it makes it alternative
This guy should be teaching a Master Class in simping. I would've tapped out after the first five minutes.
Yeah God forbid someone actually enjoying their job.
Fantastic!!!!
