In January of 2017, an 18-year-old singer/songwriter named Kailee Morgue tweeted a video featuring a preview of a song she was working on. "I apologize for my voice cracking and the unflattering angles," she said, "but here's something I'm working on." The tweet went viral, going on to generate over 45,000 retweets and almost 140,000 likes, and the clip had a similar effect on Instagram, with over 100,000 likes overnight. The clip led to a deal with Republic Records, and a full release of the song now called "Medusa." It's an addicting track, and her new single "Discovery" is a fitting follow up. So we dug up old tweets and brought Kailee in to talk about her life before music, Gwen Stefani, Paramore, and what's coming next.
