One of the most informative videos I have ever had the pleasure of watching, very well done!, I may have to bring my banjo out of storage and get back in the game!

Kristin, thank you so much for explaining the various ways of playing the banjo. In particular, the basics of learning rolls and applying them to melody. I’ve never heard anyone explain the techniques of playing a banjo so clearly. Incidentally, I love your banjo playing. The songs that appeal to the most are those melodic in nature. Thanks again.

MAN...that is a GREAT SOUNDING BANJO!!! of coarse ...consider the player also lol...I know they ALL sound good in certain circumstances..but i remember talking to Robin Smith one time about the banjo that that he had built for Steve Dilling one time and i said that Steve could get good tone out of a shoe box lol...and i SO ADMIRE you Kristen....in the tone that you get...and in how you are such a critic for that...so..in saying that i mean ALOTTA that is in the player themselves...but I LOVE the tone of that banjo!...kinda wish I would've bought one of those when Sonny was pushing them in the late 90's

I was a fan of the Grascals banjo player before I knew who that banjo player was, then I found out it was you & was even more impressed. Now I hear you speak so elegant & comprehensively I wonder how much more magic can there be? Then I notice that you keep both your anchor fingers straight like I do and I realize I don’t have to correct that to play well!
    I’m considering you an inspiration!
    Thanks🪕
