Earl made me remember a guy called Smokey: I lived in NYC for a while when I was 21, there was a panhandler I met his name was " Smokey ". He was black & cool, in his younger days he was in a successful jazz band. They made it big for a while, but Smokie got hooked on crack, then became homeless. Like Earl he was streetwise, funny and liked by many.
Earl is the father & grandfather figure Max never had. I loved the relationship these two had.👍👍
