    I feel like this is the AK47 of 3D printers. It's pure function, bit darn if it doesn't work.
    If you already have a 3D printer - including this one - some of the process could be simplified at the cost of PVC filament, I think. You could print your own T and L connectors on the frame, for instance. The X axis mountings could also be 3D printed instead of "machined", and instead of using zip-ties to secure the line bearings, you could make some form if either press-fit or welded attachment instead.
    Also, to make the machine more robust, consider weaving the wires into the pipes. Exposed wiring is wiring that can take damage after all.
    Great build, and I hope you iterate this design. It has a lot of promise!

    For those in SAE countries, 3/8 " or 5/16" threaded rods and nuts can be used.

    Cool project! Why don't you try running Klipper on it? It is a great firmware for 3D printers and can allow your printer to print much faster, have a very useful web interface, tons of customization and lot more.

    • @MechNinja
      @MechNinja  7 месяцев назад

      I am working on it, actually this printer is for the people who needs to make a cheap 3D printer, and for clipper we need to use raspberry pi...

    • @marcioadrianflores9492
      @marcioadrianflores9492 6 месяцев назад

      Can u prove with raspberry pi zero 2 or similar cheap board, I saw that is posible, it could be more economic than Pi3 or pi4 and also work, I would like to see if this project can be done, I am an economics student so I am not good at these things but I love your project and it would be great to use klipper . Thanks in advance, like for the video.

    I'm using lead screw with print bed stepper motor instead of timing belt so, will it be moving the the bed in exact measurements as in timing belt scenario or should I be doing any tweaks in code?

    • @MechNinja
      @MechNinja  2 месяца назад

      You cannot use lead screw for print bed, because the Y & X axis requires much speed which can only be achieved using the timing belt, using the lead screw will reduce the speed.

    at that price you can get a good ender. and for a little bit more one of the new ender v3s. neat little project but not cost effective compared to a complete unit that will perform the same and be more solid

With some good investment and a talented team you could probably design industry grade systems at cheap price , probably will help completely cut off the dependancy on chineese in extensively used technology in a decade or so .
